Those pics of Erin are great. Her in that purple skintight suit is a hell of a sight.

As for that robot guy (can\'t remember his name) I do remember him once saying

\'Bee dee Bee dee Bee dee, She\'s a fox\' about Erin so he had good judgmentlol

Erin was hot, Buck was a weenie...

Heavy Metal movie?...Aces! The soundtrack rocked, too, for two years it was the only tape I had in my car (a 1985 russian Lada Samara 1500 running on 2 1/2 cylinders...)

The opening sequence where the Corvette drops from orbit...tooo coool...:D

Although he did have good judgement, that\'s true!

Firefly! :D

OK, well here\'s a pic that\'s just for me, RedDawn, and apparently DR, as well. The actor that praetorian was refering to earlier is the one sitting in the chair, Nathan Fillion.

What a bunch of hotties!

*EDIT*
And for those of you thinking they look more old west than sci-fi, here\'s a pic of thier ship, the Serenity:

They surely do know how to dress on Firefly...I saw one episode, then my local station stopped carrying it. As for SW vs LotR, I have to vote LotR. It\'s simply better.

Ah thanks for the pict Duende. I loved all the episodes that I saw and was thoroughly disapointed when FOX pulled the plug on it. My personal fav on the show was the Mechanic, man was she a hottie. :p Although the prostitute was not bad either. :D

Another show that I liked and died a very quick death on FOX was the Roar, I don\'t remember who was in now but it was a Celtic story. It was replaced by Alley Mcbeal. I hated that show.:flame:

Vince, it\'s just scary how often you say something that I agree with. ;)
It\'s not that scary once you realize that I look inside your mind before posting anything.

Oh, wait, maybe that\'s even scarrier.

To avoid double posting:
Poll: New \'Geek\' poll
1) Star Wars
2) Star Trek
3) Battlestar Galactica
4) Dr. Who
5) Farscape
6) Lexx
7) Buck Rogers
8) Flash Gordon (Original B&W)
9) Lost in Space
10) Other

1 - 6 films, one crappy TV special, countless books. am I missing anything?
2 - 5 live action TV shows, one cartoon show, I lost count of how many movies, and countless books.
3 - 2 TV series and 1 live action movie (and probably books though I haven\'t seen any)
4 - Either many series or one on and off series on TV, one stint on the radio, one crappy made-for-TV movie, and I think a cartoon, and countless books.
5 - Never heard of it
6 - Never heard of it
7 - Newspaper comic turned radio serial, then short film serial, then second series, then feature film, then another series (plus numerous books).
8 - newspaper comic then short film serial, tv series,2 tv cartoons, 1 feature film (with another supposedly in production) and of course the porno \"Flesh Gordon\"
9 - TV series, Feature Film (Lust in Space doesn\'t really count because it doesn\'t parody the story line)

So even this list is too broad. As ZaPhOd pointed out, you can love part of one option but dislike the rest.

Oh, Vince... what am I thinking now? lol

You never heard of Farscape? Oh man, you don\'t know what you are missing.

Lexx, OTOH, made me want to wash my eyeballs out with bleach. :D

The sci fi programs from when I was a kid have the best memories for me.
And the best 2 would be....

Blakes 7
Space 1999

Space 1999 was a keeper, Klute.

Anybody remember the British series UFO? Liked that one too. The boss\'s name was Ed Straker, if that helps at all.

Oh man marnieboy, I loved both of those shows, used to watch them every Saturday. I actually had models of the Seaview and the Flying Sub from VTBS and I also had a model of the ship from LotG too...can\'t remember the ship name at the moment.

Somebody just mentioned Space 1999 as well which was another goodie from the 70\'s, and the shapshifter (Maya) was HOT!

Like RedDawn I am a Firefly fan and an officially registerd Browncoat! As Dawn said we own the entire Firefly and Farscape series on DVD, just missing the final Farscape movie.

I also really liked Babylon5, and there was a show on a few years ago that was on Sunday nights called \"Space Above and Beyond\" that I was really disappopinted when they cancelled.

I grew up on classic Star trek and Next Generation. Didin\'t care for DS9 or Voyager much and haven\'t been able to get into Entreprise.

We used to watch Dr. Who a lot when I was in college. I\'m ashamed to admit that like Marcus I have never seen Red Dwarf... :(

Yeah, OK, so I\'m a geek...and proud of it!

I really liked Roar too, but you\'re right - FOX dropped it like a hot potato. I was looking forward to watching it and then got stuck with insane-Ally. :flame:

EDIT: Thanks for all the Firefly pics Duende!!

I gotta vote for Firefly as well. Always liked Babylon 5, but I think Firefly is more consistent. Though there are moments in B5 that are just amazing.

Oh, and to be weird I\'ll also throw a vote in for \"Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.\" Dubbed here in the states in an awful terrible edit called \"Warriors of the Wind\". :bouncy:
