from time to time
From time to time, if I\'m in the mood to wade through a tide of whining, I check out the GW boards. About a month ago they had a thread on Woodelves being pushed back for the Ogre army. The thread, which had official GW input, said that Wood Elves had been pushed back one army slot (or about 3 to 4 months) from it\'s scheduled release, which I believe was to be Spring 2004. So I thought it would be Summer, but now they have that Chaos crap, so I guess it will be fall.
In reality the Wood Elves will come in summer of 2014, three days before a giant asteroid lands right on my local GW dealer.
I am anxiously waiting to see the Ogre army, it looks very cool. But they shouldn\'t have kicked all the Wood Elf fans like that. That\'s just wrong. It makes me think something is seriously wrong with the Wood Elf army. I bet they had a prototype and it was either way too powerful, way too weak, or way too gay. I\'m banking on the way too gay.
Gav: So what do you guys have for me on the Wood Elves?
Menion: Well, we\'ve added an ability to the War Dancers.
Gav: What\'s it stand for?
Menion: Patty Cake. See, the war dancers frolic up to their enemy and engage them in a game of patty cake...
Gav: NEXT!
Menion falsl through and opening in the floor.
Menion 2: Ok, I have an idea for a new unit.
Gav: Great, what is it?
Menion 2: It\'s a giant tree person.
Gav: We already have one of those.
Menion 2: Oh.
Gav: What are we paying you people for?
Menion 2: Well, what ideas do you have?
Gav: Don\'t question me, Menion, or I\'ll pound you into the dirt like a Japanese Ogre!
-room gets silent-
Gav: Ok, tomorrow bring ideas for a new oriental ogre army and will scrap all of this Wood Elf stuff. The fans have only been wait for 8 years, what another gonna hurt.
