New GW Giant

I think my point about anatomy for a giant is who is to say what is right and what is wrong.
Same for all fantasy stuff really.

hmm, not sure about that paintjob

still, i don\'t see what everyones problems are with it, i\'d rather them come out with something a bit different than the same kinda thing again, and although there probably are a few flaws anatomically, when i look at it as a whole i still think it is a cool mini.
Great paintjob anja :D

Actually, seeing this miniature from these angles really actually helps me with the miniature and doesn\'t look half as bad as I thought.

I still think his legs and arms should be thicker, but its not too overly bad as I had thought.

Nice work on the giant Anja. Can\'t say I like the figure all that much, but you\'ve done an excellent job on the painting.

I agree with Klute.

not something we\'re likely to see so this is pure fantasy; who\'s to say whats right and wrong.

Exactly what is \"crap\" about it?

?????????

It\'s ugly.
Congratulations on the paintjob, if that is indeed a true real life paintjob, the entire box cover looks more computer generated than anything else, but I could, of course, be wrong....
The figure is ugly, would fit in well with an Ogre Kingdoms army, though.
The absolutely best giants I\'ve ever seen are the Norse Giant by Grendel and the Goblin War Giant by Grenadier.
The Reaper ones aren\'t bad, if a little small, and the 5th ed. Warhammer one was ok.

Thank god for that, since one of the reasons they made it was to be a slavegiant :D

The backround and surrounding is clearly photoshop, but as smooth as the paintjob looks i trust that this looks the same in real life.

I love mini-giants, jumbo shrimp, and oxymorons...

I like this guy quite a bit. Giants SHOULD be ugly, ill proportioned, awkward looking creatures....At least thats the way I think they should look.

The only thing I think is dodgy is the sculpt of the head/face. Much too reminesent of the Ogres....so much that they look like relatives. But, thats a minor quibble.

I have a few metal giants...the \'latest\' orc-goblin one, the old Warhammer Giant (my fave) and now the new Hill Giant from reaper (incredibly cool sculpt). I never had latched onto the Forgeworld ones, but have been tempted, especially on the older version...

Also...its good to have an Astonia/Anja sighting...

lol:D

Well, I can promise you it\'s not painted in photoshop. And I know because I painted it.

THis explains why the paint job looks too good tobe true :D Beautiful paint jopb, Anja. Glad to see you still poke your nose in here from time to time. HOpe all is going well for you.

Well you\'d suffer from malnutrition too if all the dwarves ever let you eat were nasty orks and the occasional cow you manage to steal.

Don\'t care for him, and I think he looks like his right hip is broken or that his leg attaches like a cheap 1970s japanese Omega Man toy.

Then again, giants aren\'t my thing though I\'m tempted by Reaper\'s muscle-bound brute of a giant.

Have to say, after seeing the bits, it does look better. Still wont end up on my shelf \'cause i\'m no where near good enough to paint it. But did i see another head option in there? And you could always leave that cow off his hip.

All that said, I like green stuff\'s giant better... and Sophia\'s UltraForg giant.
Thank you :D.

And nice to see you pop in Anja :).

I find the sculpt a bit stiff. But since it\'s plastic I guess that can easily be fixed ;).

Don\'t like.

Shite pose. Too ogre-ish (fine for ogre players). I want a pug-ugly bastard for a giant, and this chap isn\'t brutish enough.

Looking at the sprues, I think there are three head choices, I would guess they\'re not all ogre-ish.

The amount of parts on the sprues looks impressive, should be handy for conversions

I didn\'t notice the hooves before...very nice touch.

If there is anything positive about plastics it is the large number of conversion possibilities it gives you.

That side view shows an awefull pose.

Good business sense having everything in one box for different army choices.
One one mould cost. All punters covered.
