Heres a pic of the Leeds GW store manager assembling the latest addition to the GW range.

Its a kids paddling pool, because of the recent really heavy rain in Leeds and the fact the builders working on flats above the Leeds store keep screwing up the store is like Atlantis some nights. The pools are used with various buckets to try and collect all the drips (water drips, not players).

Its fun when water starts pouring down from the ceiling onto your game ;)

Well the store manager has been totalling all the stock he lost so i assume gw legal will step in and claim it all back from the builders.

The staff in Leeds are really good so its only disrupted gaming a few nights when it got really bad, most of the time its just a case of moving tables around the drips.

It was all meant to have been fixed now, but after last nights super downpour in Leeds i\'m curious what its like at the moment.

No, but their cardboard boxes are. If not, they soon will be.

We had a store here lost the roof in the \'04 hurricanes. Lost everything in the store. What wasn\'t wet & ruined, the mold and mildew got to in the next week.

The plastic wrap on the boxes doesnt really protect them much, most of the LOTR section and a chunk of 40k became mush.

Their not allowed to sell damaged stock to customers so the store inherits alot of bits, stuff for boards and stuff for staff i guess.

People are still trashing things here in Iowa, after those June floods.

Water; both our friend and enemy!

I remember seeing shops in Leeds baling out water a few years ago when I went to my sister\'s wedding. Does it happen a lot in Leeds?

BTW, the best way to clean up water is NOT with a mop! Use a dustpan or scoop and then use a mop to dry up - it\'s far quicker.

Thank the lord for small mercies!

Actually the first day of flood the LOTR demo table (made from paper mache apparantly) was totalled.

It was always a total annoyance for regular players since we mostly play 40k/wfb and the board always had to be moved out of the way to make room.

Unfortunately i wasnt there that Thursday to see the board melt :(

I knew the GW crowd where getting younger but this just takes the piss.

If this works well next year they\'re thinking of introducing a sand pit too.
