Hi all - Has anyone made use of the new GW nixhili Oxide colour for adding that rusty verdigris to metal?
Ive been meaning to have a go at this look for a while but recently made the move to boycott all GW paints so Id rather an alternative if anyone knows in vallejo or other line.

Thanks for any pointers.

All the new technical paints are basically convenience methods. The effects can all be reproduced through already well-published techniques.

I've used the Nihilakh Oxide, and I'm quite fond of it - the oxide looks great, and I can avoid messing around with white and green and turquoise. In particular, Blood for the Blood God is very good and convenient, but mixing up a batch of Tamiya Clear Red and black/brown really isn't all that hard.

I'm sold on these, but I'm a lazy bugger.

Vallejo model color has a verdigris color, but not a wash. Secret weapon washes have some bright greens, but not quite the right shade imo. Use the VMC as your base coat then drybrush your metallic over that, then proceed as normal from there.

Yep Vallejo Verdigris for Bronze or Brass metallic's and Vallejo Blue Green for NMM Bronze or Brass.
Best parts about the Vallejo cheaper and you can use the Blue Green as a Turquoise mixer you're not locked to a single use for them.
