As for the basing goes I\'d use rocks to break up the snow or a brownish green static grass. Look up some pics of tundra on the web.
I think it look more refreshing, a bit more colorfull and not so boring than just mud.

Yea i was thinking of that as i didn\'t want the bases to look so flat, i want it to look as though its quite mountainous, and uneven.

I haven\'t had chance to get building anything so far, i replaced my broken knife but today i\'ve been doing uni work all day

Also got my hands on a forgeworld teclis

Sorry about the delay (everything has decided to happen at once)

Anyway i have finished university for the summer and am aiming to get down to some serious painting.

I have my spearmen unit assembled and my swordmasters so they will get primed soon as well as my first bolt thrower.

The rest of my army is in the process of being built.

But can anybody help me out? I have a forgeworld teclis but he took some damage in the post, so i am looking for a sculptor who could repair the damage (i will of course pay)

Also atm i cant take any WIP pics as my mum has took my digi cam on holiday with her:cussing:

Depends on what the damage is of course, give us a description and no doubt there will be someone willing to help out.
It also sounds as if you\'ve obtained this via Ebay as I\'ve not seen any Forgeworld figures for a loooooong time.

Sorry yea how dumb of me not to list the damage.

He has some damage to the war crown of saphery, as the points have snapped off, i have two of them but one would need to be rescultped.

His sword has snapped in places but it it is pinned so can be rebuilt it seems with minimal effort. a small part of his sword hand needs rebuilding, the knuckles and also the sword guard.

One side of his staff tip snapped off, i have that also. Then the detail on the staff has broke off, as well as the hand holding the staff, that needs fingers.

Haha funny manus most of him is fine just he pointy bits lol and i am not good enough with green stuff (or similar putty) to repair it.

When my parents give me my camera back i will post pics.

Ok ok ok, after faaaaar to long i have some WIP pics

Been doing the whites on my spearmen, didnt want them to take me forever so its a simple astronomican grey, space wolf grey then 3 layers of skull white.

c+c plz also cold looking metals any ideas?

the pics aren\'t the best but il get working on some better ones when i sort the metals. They get the general gist of the white colour i have gone for

yea will have the pics up over the weekend.

Thinking of boltgun metal weashed badab black, re apply boltgun, highlight chainmail, then wash with asurman blue and the purple ink (forget its name) then highlight up to mithril silver.

sound ok?

Also will try and get pics of the damaged forgeworld teclis if any1 is prepared to fix for cash

Sounds like it could work out nicely.

Do bear in mind though, that you will be painting a lot of these, so stick to a \"quick\" method.

That said, I wish you good luck and I can\'t wait to see some progress!

It is an unusual choice but i wanted to get across the cold, seeing as the theme is winter, hence the blue ish hue.

Nearly done with the armour pics up tomorrow, need the final highlight, also will have a play with the camera to try and get better pics.

Any ideas of how to do a cold gold?anyone?

Apologies on the double post, as i mentioned ages ago i have a forge world teclis that is damaged, here i have the pics up if anybody could give help on fixing it or if anybody is wiling to do it (i will pay of course)
