an experiment in NMM. im Not too impressed with the sword, but i like the armor. and yes, the pic is dark in some areas, but i didnt take it, a friend did (a nice favor, so i wont complain to him... too much)

let me know what you think!

I actually quite like the sword, and think it\'s one of the strongest parts of the mini (as far as I can see) It looks quite realistic....the armour is nice too, especially colour-wise. The gold trim needs a bit of work to bring it up to par with the rest of the mini, though.

Nelson\'s right, I also think you need to water your paints down a little more. They seem to have a very slightly lumpy look.

But the sword is excellent, the blue/green is very nice and your choice of colour is very good.

Alround good stuff, I\'m not having a dig, trying to be constructive ;)

Is the trim supposed to be NMM gold? Because it looks like you\'ve got a very good bone color going on there. ;)

I wish the face and head were lighter so that we could see what you did with it, but I guess you can\'t complain about the picture...

The color choice is excellent...really eye catching.

Like donga mentioned, it\'s better if you can have your paints as thin as possible while still retaining good coverage. It\'s just something to think about, especially when you go to work on something with large, flat areas.

Solid work. :)

thanks for comments everyone. the trim is nmm gold, but the lighting makes it look odd. I will try to get a better picture updated soon.

i will try to thin my paints a little more (i painted over black undercoat, so it probably would end up smoother over a white one, due to less layers)

yep, the sword stands out as the best part of the mini, and then nmm gold as what could use the most work. Overall the photo is very dark and a bit hard to see the rest of the details unfortunately.

Nice to see you pushing yourself to do something new however, keep it up!

Guess I showed up a bit late on this one but I agree with just about every body else I like the sword more then the armour. How are you taking your photos?

my friend takes the photos. i would go to his house and take them myself, but he lives too far away to even bother (my car gets like 35 miles to the gallon, but i guess im just lazy:D)
