this is my first mini from masquerade miniatures, sold at last \'crisis\' event. I had a lot of fun painting this bloke, since he was free of stupid details like pouches or chains. I like the pose, I like the way he turned out. I used vallejo drying retarder for the clothes, to give the model a smoother finish and to improve my blending. I certainly think I improved, but there\'s always room for more. Let me know what you think and feel free to comment!

Great! I think the glossiness hurts you a bit, as you have to look a lot closer to see the smooth blending, of which there is a lot. I like the model, too.... I gave it a nine, although it\'s closer to an 8. Damn, I\'m a nice guy. :D

Nice! i like your deep tones, dark purple and blue imo usually tends to don\'t go well toghether but in this mini the palette looks ok.
Nice skintone too.

thx for the comments. I think the cape looks better irl, the reds are brighter than on this photo. Also I don\'t know why my varnish has been going glossy lately. It\'s vallejo matte varnish and I have had good experience with it last weeks, and all of a sudden this glossy finish started appearing. :/

yeah you improved a lot!

i\'d suggest some more highlights on the whole model, but as you said this may be due to the pic itself!

the face is really good, so the color choice

nice job, it\'s a 8 for me!
