This is why there will always be disagreements over scores. I do get a big \"WOW\" factor when looking at this mini. It\'s all (relatively) subjective...beauty is in the eye of the beholder:wow:

Poupee\'s work is not only eye-blitzingly stonking in its magnificence, but he/she sports one of the most amusing titles I\'ve heard!

There are other Cmon-style sites opening their doors with different voting systems, but you can bet the arguements will still rage!!

Oh, and Poupee is top of the one I just signed up to as well!!

But those pics certainly don\'t hurt when it comes to making people remember who you are!

I agree with that poupée is the best painter we have right now! His color schemes, ideas, the painting and sculpting are all just too perfect!

I can\'t say it enough: The fact that he got 9,8 with a simple Rackham mini just speaks totally for itself!

I gave Poupe\'s figure a 10 just for technical brilliance cos its way ahead of most things.Saying that I do think it is lacking in passion,much the same way I think Alexi\'s do(not all).Both artists are technically brilliant but there are many here who add that extra touch that makes you think beyond the miniature.

And dont let anyone persuade you that the voting and scoring doesnt matter.To lots its the basis of the whole site.Not me anymore.

The thread was really to highlight Poupees work, I should have put a link in, thanks Finn for the pic.

As for the top ranking buisness, I just wanted to show that there really is piss all between the top artrists, they are all remarkable in their talent. As has been alluded to, its personal taste and a bit like arguing who\'s better, Monet, or Van Gogh at this level.

I still expect to see Alexi at no 1 before the years out

Oh, and tits, aren\'t they great? lol

Poupée\'s work is excellent, and that figure is certainly a technical 10. I also have to admit it doesn\'t grab me. It just seems to be missing that certain something that sets it apart; a certain \"creative spark\", so to speak.

Like others have said, I\'m getting pretty bored with the whole \"conspiracy theory\" voting threads. This started out as a congratulations thread, couldn\'t we have just left it at that? Why are so many threads being turned into attacks? We congratulate someone, and people start knocking other painters. We try to Ulagize the Pope, and people start knocking the frickin\' Pope! We ask if anyone is going to see Star Wars, and paople start calling George Lucas a hack! (Oh wait... that was me). We talk about ANYTHING, and GW sucks! Well, actually...oh... never mind. But you get my point.

I have been a member of this site since January, but have only been posting in the forums for about three weeks (thanks Fizl, now I\'m an addict). Over the past few months I had been saving the pics of minis that inspired me in some way, and I have about 50 on my harddrive. I recently looked back over them to see if I know any of the artists from the Forum. Guess what? I have several of Alexi_Z\'s mini in there, they are amongst my favourites. I made notes to go with the pics to remind me what I liked about each, and in one note on her minis it said \"Man, this dude can really paint!\" I thought Alexi was a guy! There you have it. Totally subjective, never having seen her tits or knowing she was female I had decided she was my favourite. I even started to copy her Lelith figure. Any one who doesn\'t believe me can go back to that figure and check the date on my comment. It was waaaaay before I ever started posting. I notice its mostly the female painters that nock her, and I really wish you\'d stop holding her tits against her.

Hmmmmmm, that just left a delightful picture in my evil brain...

Anyway, to be serious, she is a great artist and definately deserves her ranking. She may be full of herself, but with her talent AND her looks why shouldn\'t she be? There is nothing wrong with being proud of who and what you are.

For some weird reason this site is actually turning me into a serious person. I think I\'ll watch some Monty Python tonight, I\'ve got to get my funny back...
