Hiya, I have just posted my ltd edition Marco Columbo mini, and would appreciate any feedback if you have a second!

He is posted in the paintings forum too, as I needed tips on the bottle, but I have noticed there is more traffic in the discussion forums!

Its a very nicely painted mini, but it just doesn\'t POP the way some do....more depth and shading would help a bit. Still I\'d say a mid 7 or so.

The background is too bright....I\'d suggest a more neutral color.

Great work, OrkyDave. I agree on the background though -- it\'s a bit bright and makes your lighter tones look a bit washed out.

While I think that the feathers could be a bit more interesting -- your red and yellow have a very nice depth to them. Excellent bottle as well.

I agree with the others. it has nice depth, but needs a little more pop.

A black or darker background would help. Maybe not so stark a contrast between the shaing on the feather and the highlights. A lighter shade color would brighten things up a bit.

7.5 in my opinion. Did the vote thingy.

Thanks for the input on this one guys. Had a mare getting photos done for him!

The chest jewel I tried to paint as a pearl rather than a gem, as I imagined him spending a great deal of time at sea.

I also agree with the white,both backdrop and cloth and is something I need to bear in mind for the future.
