First off, this mini is amazing in person, sooooooo much detail, and lovely orky pieces(head, left arm and back pack seperately) so this is my next adventure after...
Torquemada placed 2nd at Conflict Ottawa, i personally thought it was good enough to win(the winning model only had 3 different colours.. :( ) dont get me wrong he did a fantastic job! and im not making excuses :)

anyways, new ork big mek, bought it annnd i want to make his pose less.... boring

(ok sorry i would of cropped, and drawn it on the picture but i got my compy wiped and i dont have adobe back yet...or anything else of good use...)

anyways, ideas mostly invlove moving the arms, because as its stands his pose is pretty lame, i originally wanted to reposition his weapon arm, into a more active position, but im unsure how exactly to do it, i have extra ork parts, so i was thinking of cutting the weapon out from the armn, replacing the bladed part near the arm with old choppa plastics built into it, resculpt/reposition the arm, cut off the hand replaced with grasping plastic one, and have him holding the actual weapon in his hand

i was thinking it should look like hes walking/lumbering forward so weapon would be like: (also here is the issue i have with the head)

im nowehere near deciding colours but im definetly going to work on my metals on this one(Tidoco this is your territory hahaha) :p im also going to find a grot and throw it on his base

what do you think?, plans look/sound good? should i do more?

hahaha, alright alright ill do it... :) not for a bit though actually, i just remembered my greenstuff is bad not good for sculpting anymore :( i have to buy some more

what kinda of colours you think? (as of right now the colour scheme for the army is red/black, but i may be able to convince my cousin to change that)

what about bright colours? like orange, or...uhhh thats bout it, yellow is a no go

or other colour combos? maybe purple? that might look good with machinery, purple seems to be an engineering colour(in Canada at least)

Yeah I\'m a big fan of this model too.

I actually like the pose but I can understand wanting something a bit less static. If I was going to do it I would probably remove the cables joining his right control thingumy to the force field generator, then turn it into a mechanical axe. For the other arm I\'d sculpt it so it is straight, put a slugga in his hand and turn the head so it looks down the gun. Rather more complex than your idea really but something in it may help you!

Some military style colours for the actual body pieces of the backpack may work. Some camo colour dark greens or blue greys with chips of metal showing through could be very nice. Why no yellow? Hazar stripes in yellow and black are a tried and tested favourite... or is that the problem?

Oooh, and as for the head, leave it alone! It is so characterful. Don\'t mess with it or Gork and Mork will come and get ya!;)

Yes, the model is amazing and yes, reposing would not be a bad idea. But the face is awesome, leave it. :D Good luck, I am looking forward to seeing this one finished. Are you going to do some more NMM? Torquenanda was great.

***hmmm turning his head is possible, might look nice, and explain why hes not waaaaghing forward, but his head looks so Tau\'ish!....fine...

as to yellow, i hate painting it, not because its difficult or anything, but because i hate the colour, i hate it...

***no NMM, this ones going to work on my real metals, i guess i can start working on him just leave the parts i want to GS off

so i think the head will get tilted to his left, his right arm will be slightly back a bit, and his big axe thingy arm will be slightly forward, in a mid step kinda pose, should liven the model up a bit i think

i didnt want to do TOO much, because i like how unique his parts are as is, just needs a better pose

ok...so ill talk to cousin about colours, and then get started :)

sweet
