New place, new WIP.

Very good work. I like it a lot. Good Contrast, good choice of color. The only thing I can say is the subject is almost the same color of the base. It is good to have colors from your figurine to put in it but now I feel that the figurine is lost in the base. To have your figurine pop-out, you should paint the base a contrasting color(but desaturated so it do not distract from your subject). So your eyes know where is your masterpiece. Fortunatly the face is very contrasting so it brings your eyes to it. Good work, mate. Eager to see your next project.:claply:

Right, think it's time to call this chap finished - please let me know what you guys think of him! He's just a nice quick piece used to practice rust / weathering techniques and I used my new airbrush for the first time to lay down the base's undercoats.

Personal projects have to be put aside for the time being, as I've got some commission work to crack on with. Here's the first piece, an Eldar Autarch that'll have a Corsair back pack on him. Primed and started with the cloak.

More done on the Eldar. Unfortunately this model came primed and built. Tired to clean up as much flash and mold lines as possible but the primer was put on so thick, tis really making trying to get smooth blends a pain.

Is it just me or does that C'Tan Deceiver remind anyone else of Usain Bolt Celebrating?
The bases you have done look great, really helps bring life to the mini. The Necromancer really caught my eye and cant wait to see what you'll do with the Autarch.

Righto, I really want to get back into the gaming side of 40k, last time I gamed was back in 4th ED - so things have changed a little but I'm looking forward to it. I've decided that I want to play a Space Marine army but I want to do a pre heresy army. Now I can't quite decide which chapter to do.

The ones I like or have whittled it down to rather, are Night Lords, Sons of Horus or possibly Space Wolves. Here's a quick Night Lords model color scheme I did, just to see if I liked the look of it. After painting, I think I would change all of the banding to red, rather than have gold trim on the lower half.

As this was just to test colors out, I didn't complete it, but rather did a quick sketch of colors.
