Loving those eldar, I have a Biel-tan force and am really struggling with my white armour painting. What colours have you used for your white/gray? Thanks

Soooo all the commissions I had going are now finished and I can get back to painting my own things! yay!

As a nice start I thought I'd first do the Averlonian Bust that I ordered just before Christmas. Just blocking in basic lights and shadows atm.

Rather than re-sculpt the top hat thingy, I'm going to be painting the texture onto it in the bits that it's missing and trying to make it appear as if it has a hole int he top where his scalp shows through.

Here he after about an hour or so:

Looking good. The only thing I would point out is that, taking in account the other colours, the face shadows seem to be a bit too light.

Heya,

Over the weekend I attended my first ever painting workshop hosted by Darkmessiah. The tutor was none other than Volomir, an awesome miniature painter and an equally awesome guy.

Here is the Savage Ork I painted over the two day workshop, I'll be finishing him off over the next few days.

Also, I'll be writing a detailed review of the weekend workshop either tonight or tomorrow evening, which I will be posting on my Blog for anyone thats interested to read!

Without further ado, I present my Savage Ork Wip;

Sounds like this workshop went down a treat. Hate living on a island sometimes as its bloody expensive to fly off here and no cool workshops ever happen. As far as i know there aint even anyone on the island other than me that paints at anything higher than low lvl tabletop. Well, I TRY to paint at a higher standard at least.
Orc looks great, the tattoo is a nice touch, simple and effective.

Right with the Monk pretty much done, I thought I'd push on and do some more painting before going for a swim, so I've updated and made progress on the bust I was painting up. Here he is so far!

Just starting a Grey Knights army, here's my HQ. I'd say he's pretty much done now. Maybe I'll define the hammer haft a little more, maybe not. The pictures don't really do it justice :(
