Didn\'t vote for him yet was still moved as he was sworn in. Proud of my country to have reversed such a terrible wrong not only in words but in actions. I was alone in the frontroom watching the swearing in and when Justice Stevens asked all to rise I stood. Just seemed proper. I wish him and all of us, red or blue, well.......as one.

I have no doubt that as a President, he will please some people and not others.
But good luck to the man, he\'s in a job I certainly don\'t envy.
I just hope that he\'s more of a Statesman than your previous encumbant or our \"version\".

For myself, I\'m thoroughly sick of hearing about him from all the racist people who claim not to be racist. \"We have a black president!\" to which I reply, \"You\'re canadian.\"
Most of these people I hear this nonsense from don\'t even know what his electoral platforms were.
I hope this ignorance isn\'t as wide-spread in the USA.

And which one would that be? There\'s quite a few people that think that \"equality\" hasn\'t been achieved.
As for the new Pres. I wish him well, he\'s got a lot on his plate, and is really going to be under the microscope.

Good luck to him. Never in a million years would I want a job like that, but that\'s good because I\'d never get a job like that in a million years! Will be interesting to see what happens when he, y\'know, starts deciding policy and all that. You know the old saying, \"You can please some of the people some of the time....\" I don\'t doubt that it\'s as true for him as it is for everyone else.

Think too many people are expecting miracles from him.Too often leaders come in on a wave of unrealistic euphoria and when things don\'t instantly turn around then the masses go back to their cynical old selves.
He\'s only one man and consequently only as good as those around him. He\'s also got the \'misfortune\' to come into office during the worst economic crisis in our lifetime.
From what I see and hear, he\'s inspirational and appears to be a man of integrity. Good luck to him.

I was alive to remember just how well Jimmy Carter did as president and what a change Reagan was.
Sadly I fear we have the 2nd coming of Jimmy Carter in the making.
Fine speeches and lofty idealism do not a president make.
I am hopeful the New Pres is more than just words, but I am not overly optimistic.

Love him or hate him, he\'s our for the next four-eight years. I wish the man wisdom, patience, and as good luck as the fates can manage.
