lol! maybe there\'s just noone on right now... I have a bonefide miniature celebrity sitting on my desk, and noone even batted an eyelid!

As for the sculpt...
Things I love: The banner, the axe and the helmet plume are all really cool, particularly the folds in cloth around the banner cross strut. I also like the legs and the style of the armour, it\'s a crisp clean sculpt for sure/.

Developmental points: I rarely do a mini without some conversion, so to critique it I tend to imagine I was working with it from a blister pack or something and see which bits I\'d convert before I painted it up. I\'d bend the arm to turn the elbow in a jot, that would look a little more natural I believe, and would avoid the model kicking it\'s own axe as it takes the next step. I\'d even out the breasts (humans tend to be uneven, but armour doesn\'t - well done for avoiding size creep on them though, that\'s cool...I always think eldaresque models should be a touch androgynous anyway). I\'d pair down her right hand weapon to make it look a little more manageable, get rid of the touch of powerfist it has and make it look more like a syringe on steroids and lastly I\'d cut her at the waist and turn her shoulders slightly to her right. It\'ll break the line of the shoulders and the hips up and make her look like she was walking a touch more naturally. On the plus side, any of those changes would be pretty easy to do (if you can face it after spending so long on the sculpt and \'feeling finished\' like we all do at some point)

Overall though, a nice sculpt that wouldn\'t look the slightest bit out of place on the tabletop. Cool!

Hope that helps (o:

Well, the head vs. the helmet look a little off in size. They don\'t look like they\'d be compatible with each other. Course, it\'s a little hard to see the details on the head, so I could be thrown by the hair.

Having said that, if the two pictures with the helmet, or just the heads, would have been posted, I think it would have scored higher.

As for the posts, gotta remember that a single post can be buried quickly. I\'m surprised the number of good things that I find when I search for the previous day\'s postings. Usually, a comment or two then sets the thread in motion. So don\'t get too discouraged about it.

I totally understand though I don\'t do commission work for people any more. I\'d love to see a wip thread from you on one of your sculpts, I think I could learn a lot.

sorry for the double post - i\'ve just thought - do you sketch or pose a manakin when you sculpt? It\'s something I try to do and when I do it really helps me keep to the wood as well as the trees as it were, but so often I forget. Meh. Gotta love those poseable wooden artists models!
