First issue, new mini-series: thumbs up.

Message in the back that Whedon and Ron Glass are collaborating on a series about Shepherd Book: more thumbs up.

Jewel Staite, Adam Baldwin, and Morena Baccarin all scheduled for DragonCon this year: gonna be a good year.

That should be interesting:
Jewel Staite always brings out the protective intsinct in my cos she\'s kinda sweet.
Adam Baldwin I think that man has a really good sense of humour.
Morena Baccarin, somewhat of a head turner.

I must be sad, I have the \"Serenity\" ship as my desktop picture, and a copy of the Serenity Movie poster on my office wall.

Wish I could make it to DragonCon; would love to meet Adam Baldwin in person(well, I\'d like to meet all of them, but Jayne\'s my favorite, in case you couldn\'t tell).

I\'m going to track down this comic.

Jayne and Kaylee are my favorites! They have some of the best lines ever.

Plus both of them are cute to look at.

My bias opinion towards Summer Glau will always make me say that River is a great but rather twisted character, and she really comes in to her own in the film. But Jayne has to be the all time best character.

I have always thought of Jayne as being the sort of person you wouldn\'t trust as far as you could throw him and as for a friend well you\'ll always be watching your back.

I would to know more about the shepard, I think the series skirted around him a lot.

Favourite characters for me, hmmm, Kalee and River I think

I bet most people think Wash is a great character, its just a shame he doesn\'t have a lot more to do than fly Serenity. The part where he\'s playing with the dinosaurs at the start of the 1st episode had me in stitches the first time I saw it.
But there\'s something about Jayne the hero of Canton.

Yeah wash is a good character. He\'s so smart@$$y and great. It killed me when they did away with him in the movie. For a second movie they\'d have to figure out how to incorporate him though, flash backs and dreams maybe.

Oh there so needs to be a Serenity 2 . . .

Yeah along with Book him and Wash had the worse ending. I don\'t often get upset when characters leaves a show /film like that (Watching out to not spoil for people not seen it yet!), but a little bit in side of me was like \"wtf\".
As for a second film, I heard that there was suppose to be one being written, but Joss Whedon has so far ruled it out.

Yeah it was sad . . . for sure. If they did another movie or mini series though it would be so easy to reveal Book\'s past. It could be that the Alliance starts going after Serenity more aggressively because they know Serenity harbored him (happened in one of the episodes). And if he needed to try and stay alive for any reasons . . . well yeah I could see them easily incorporating bits and snatches of Book back into the story line.

Oh yeah defo, he\'s really the only one we never find out about, since all the other\'s we learn about how they come to be on board Serenity in the episode \"Out of Gas\" and of course River and Simon\'s story is told through out the series / film, only Book is never mentioned or seen. Only thing we know is he\'s a crack shot when shooting peoples knee caps and had a card that allows him first aid from Alliance star ships.

Nah skirted around him Too Much. But it made his character very interesting.

Favourite characters for me, hmmm, Kalee and River I think
Kaylee\'s kinda sweet in the \"you want to protect her\" kinda feeling her character projects.
But Zoe really had the \"chutzpah\" as far as I\'m concerned. Strong, loyal and willing to tear holes in people hurting her \"family.\"

Always thought that in the TV series the Doctor came over as a bit of a wimp, and shouldn\'t have been considering the \"balls\" it took to get River out of the Alliance\'s hands. Although in the \"Hospital\" episode he did show some of his mettle, so I suppose that like a lot of people in difficult situations he was totally out of his depth, especially dealing with Mal Reynolds.
