Welcome, your gallery shows obvious quality and is a great entrace to the site really, i\'d like to see larger pictures of some of the mins but from what i can see they look really good, did you get any awards for the \"hit and run\" diorama?

may be you would have painted the flames with more red colour. They are a little bit too yellow for me.

Flame that is oxygen rich is blue, very low oxygen is yellow. I think I\'m remembering my chemistry correctly. So, the flames are good.

I commented on the whole gallery.

Huh .. Most of the average flame I\'ve ever seen anyway seems to not get much darker than that orange - I\'ve never seen really \"red\" fire.
I\'ll grant you, perhaps \"realism\" might be sacrificed to actually produce the visual effect desired.
It is interesting that when painting fire, you have to be counter-intuitive in that you actually highlight with the darker color, that the \"low\" areas are actually lighter since the core ofthe fire is lighter than the outside.

Here an exemple to see what I want to explain to you. Painted by Victoria.
Adding more orange or red to your yellow create \"richest\" flames - Sorry for my poor english -.

Great job from one sisters entusiast to another. As for the discussion on the flames, I tend to paint the upper most part black, but of course that reflects a burning torch more accurately. I like the yellow flames for a hot explosion on the rhino, but for \"normal flames I think red then black works best. Again great job, wish there was a closer photo of \"Hit and Run\".

Those articles are VERY useful - and I stand corrected on how dark you can do the tips of the flames. I can see it can get dark orange.
Guess I got some more experimenting to do
