New Skill Ideas

Quick Draw: Once per turn, survivor may rearrange inventory as a free action.

EDIT:

Juggernaut: When moving into a zone occupied by zombies the survivor may make one free melee attack that hits on a 4+ and does 1 damage.

In the Zone: When making a ranged attack, if the survivor hits with all dice, the attack becomes a free action.

On a Roll: Same as In the Zone, but for melee attacks.

Here's an idea for:

Blend in: Player can ignore 2 zombies per action point and move to an adjacent square. So 4 zombies (2 actions to get to an adjacent square) and 3 action points for 5 or 6 zombies, etc.

That would keep the game fast. They could move into an adjacent square via this skill ONLY if the square had fewer zombies than the one they're leaving. They would be slower and more cautious with more zombies in a square, trying to blend in. Then, there would still be times when this wouldn't work.

So it could work kinda like slippery (but not as cool). 1 action to move into a square with 4 zombies, then two more actions to move out of it.

Any thoughts?

Silencers: A player's ranged weapons produces no noise.

Breach: Shotguns may also be used to open doors.

Burglar: So long as he has the appropriate item, this player may open a door as a free action once per turn.

Run and Gun: This player may combine a move and combat action. There must be no zombies in the zone he starts the move in and attacks receive a -1 to rolls.

Hi Tomunist!

Interesting list.

Silencers - I added a Silencer card to my deck that makes pistols silent when attached (like putting a scope on a rifle). I'm not sure how this would be explained as a skill...

Breach - Neat idea. I'd make it specifically, "Survivor may fire a Shotgun to open a door. No rolls are needed, but Sawed Off shotguns must be reloaded after firing."

Burglar - what is the appropriate item?

Run and Gun - I like it. :)

Silencer as an item would work better.
for burglar, any item that can open doors (crowbar, axe, chainsaw) would be the appropriate item.

I have always liked situation based skills better than mechanical buffs.

I agree, Silencers as noted would probably work best as an item.

Breach - as lerhcery notes, just tidy up the wording it's a neat idea

Burglar - given what it actually does in games terms I think you should not limit it to requiring a specific item but perhaps have it represent a set of skills allowing breaking and entering. For all intents and purposes it is a +1 Action limited to opening doors much like Ned's +1 search.

I think you make the skill less desirable if you also need a piece of equipment for it to work. An alternate would be to have a piece of equipment such as a lock pick gun that does the job ? (Just my thoughts)
