Hi all

Been a little while now but there are a couple of new releases from Spyglass Miniatures now available at the CMON store.

New releases are

Eliza: Warrior Demoness

and

Rowen: Centaur Archer.

Pop over and check them out

And I promise that the wait until the next release wont be as long. Mental note: sculpt quicker....

Cheers

Hmm, that centaur link you gave us looks an awful lot like Eliza, Supervike...:D

Centaur

God, I really want that centaur. So many fetishes satiated in one elegant package. :D

Uhhh....scratch the \"fetish\" part!

I\'m gonna pretend I didn\'t just read that, nelson... if only because centaur fetishes probably fall partly under furry-dom. Naughty boy.

Nice mini though. And I see the shop is now selling snow flock, ivy flock (leaves and vines) and scale barbed wire.

mini buyers paradise....

One stop shopping, can\'t beat that. As long as the shop continues to have this kind of stuff, I\'ll be a regular...

Oh and Nelson, I fixed my linkage problem.

Thanks!!

Sorry Steve...I am biting my tongue here, but...

This is obviously only my personal view, but to my eyes, the human and horse parts just don\'t match up.
It\'s a bit like Tara Palmer Tomkinson (really skinny Brit chick) grafted onto a Shire horse.
Girl too small - horse too big. But there again, never having seen a centaur in the flesh, what do I know????

I know I am biased as hell when it comes to Steves work but I gotta say I love this take on a centaur...

I think it would\'ve been impossible to do a large torso for the human part and still have kept it feminine. To be fair horses ain\'t tiny!

If you imagine the woman with some legs she would be standing roughly level or a little above the horses shoulder. thats about 5\'6 which makes the horse like 10 hands high?? I dunno if that right my sister did horse-riding like 10 years ago until she started smoking and drinking and I vaguely remember it being something like that....

Anyway, I digress! My point was that this is really a far more accurate representation of a human body on a horse than is normally seen.

But this is just my point of view...

God I\'m going to sleep! Ignore everything I just said!:flip::bouncy:

Yeah, and remember that even though the shirt/tunic thingie kinda looks as though it\'s the cut-off between horse and human, her torso carries a ways down there. I can\'t wait to see someone paint that up, blending from her skin to horse fur. Come to think of it, maybe her waist is a bit skinny. Which is what you were saying in the first place, so maybe I\'ll shut up now...:)

Not to sound like an ungrateful bastard, but I\'m really looking forward to the vampire bride you previewed a couple weeks back. Where are you with that project ?

Nice minis btw, although I prefer the centaur to the demoness. :innocent:

The Vampire Bride (in her 54mm glory) is currently off being cast up. Alongside her is a new 54mm version of Shae: Half Elf Archer.

They will be on sale next month sometime :)

Hopefully I\'ll be done with the previous Spyglass minis I have in the pipeline by then...

54mm Shae ? Nice ! Is it just a bigger version, or an alternate pose as well ?

54mm Shae is in a similar pose to the 30mm version. I felt it was Shae\'s pose that really \'made\' the figure. I\'ve tweaked it a little here and there. I\'ve also changed the proportions a little to make it work better at the larger scale (she has a taller, slimmer look).

I\'m really pleased with her. Looking forward to seeing her cast up.

I have to agree with finn, I think it may have worked better if a different horse body was used, say one of those more graceful arabic horses for the females and maybe the bulky one for the males. But still better than I can do.

This was done very, very quickly, but you get the idea.
