[h=2]I started this project nearly 3 years ago, but life got in the way. Finally got to a point where I could dedicate the time needed to the project. I had wanted to do a scorpion themed destroyer lord ever since they where first released years ago.
Spent the last week or so working on this guy, needs a final clean up before painting. Wanted to get other people opinion before I moved to the next stage.
This project was by far the most involved conversion I have ever done in terms of variety of parts and sheer amount of sculpting.

Any suggestions or comments welcome. I will begin painting in the next week or so and post the final results when complete.[/h]View attachment 41770View attachment 41772View attachment 41771View attachment 41773

That looks great dude, really nice conversion. One small thing, I think you could do with integrating the scorpion and human parts a little better. At the moment it looks a little off and it doesn't look like he would have a lot of movement available to him which would make him less effective on the battle field. Maybe more of a waist on the human section going into the scorpion? It's increased height should help draw the eye onto (what is in effect) the most important part of the model.

I agree with Darth, brilliant idea and execution but the necron himself looks just sat on , maybe bring him forward to the end of the spine looking bit where the ball is and sit him taller on some wire up off the body a bit then integration him in with cabling and electronics

Hi Maelware - welcome to the forums. I hope you'll get as much out of it as I have! :)

If the Necron is supposed to be part of the scorpion as opposed to riding in a vehicle shaped like one, then I would have to agree with Darthmarsh. At the moment he's not part of the scorpion. Possibly building up a bit of a turret to his waist would integrate him better and allow the possibility of more movement.
