Looks pretty interesting. I like the fact that it can so easily be broken up to simulate ice, that\'ll be sure to garner some interest. Gotta wonder though about how well its surface will stand up over time to dust.

Looks good stuff. Possibilities abound methinks.

Only thing that put me off a bit was the \"When cured, Encapso® K looks just like water and will last a long time.\"

Lack of specifics kind of makes it sound like \"not a long time\".

I could come up with dozens of things I could use that stuff for and it at least looks like it would be easier to use for water effects.
I am also in Einion\'s camp and wonder what it will be like exposed to air over time. Will it become tacky and trap dust or remain with a perfect finish ... remains to be seen.

This sounds almost magical - doesn\'t it? doesn\'t yellow! detaches easily! lasts long time! non-toxic! no fumes! no heat! 24hr cure!

I have to suspect that at least one of those is true, but since the major toxicity warnings on the other stuff I\'ve looked at make me very nervous, I\'m going to go ahead and give this a go. Thanks for the link airhead!

Sounds a lot like some floral waters already on the market with maybe a very small improvement or two.

My thoughts exactly, sounds too good to be true.

There are some water effect products that claim to be sculptable, and in this type of application I\'d recommend something that is air-dry and can be used straight out of the jar. You\'ll want to do it in multiple layers and mixing up batches constantly will be a hassle (and a waste).

Vallejo water effects is your friend for that. The stuff called \"Transparent water\" is sculptable and dries to a clear, hard finish. It\'s non-toxic and air-dries in about 24 hours. Just don\'t do too much at once. Keep it in smallish layers :)
