I love their prices, but are they EXCRUCIATINGLY slow for everyone?
I have placed my third order from them and it took eight days
from when they recieved my oder to ship it. I mean
its just reaper stuff. Not hard to get ahold of.

I don\'t like to say mean things about people or companies, as a general rule. We\'re all just people trying to make our way in the world, right? Also I believe in the karmic balance in life, you know, do good things and good will come to you, and vice versa.
So with that little disclaimer out of the way I will give you truth of my experience. New Wave is a great company to deal with if you\'re not in a really big hurry to get your stuff. Their prices are some of the best I\'ve found on the web, but this is offset by their slower reply and shipping times. I have always received my orders, it just takes awhile.
If you need your supplies quickly, I\'ve had good experiences with both Fantization and good \'ol GW. They have been fast and thorough in all of my past dealings with them. You are going to pay a little more though.
I hope this helps. Good luck and keep painting!

SteppinRazer:

For most people, Reaper is not such a big problem but we deal in a bigger volume. We currently order directly from Reaper plus order from 2 other major distributors at the same time to keep up inventory. Direct Reaper restocks takes around a month (give and take how busy they are) most of the time and the distributors that we deal with does not always have everything that we need in the quantities that we need. We are adjusting as much as we can to get the products to you as fast as we can. We cannot just have vast quantities of evrerything all of the time, while some reaper minis fly off the shelf, we do have ones that sit in inventory forever. If you ever have a problem or a question, feel free to contact me directly at borg@newwave.org and I will do my best to help you get your situation resolved. Or you can buy it at full retail directly from Reaper like their banner said, I am sure they can fill you 100% of the time all the time...

I am mostly just venting :) we all hate waiting.

But while I have your ear. As a consumer here are some things that would have won me over right away.

More informative emails.
A: Immediate- hey we got your order, here it is. Listing what you ordered! I was in a buying frenzy and forgot what I ordered.
Saying, we will contact you once the order is processed and shipped.
B: Everything went through with the money, we will ship as soon as possible.
C: Your order shipped! with a tracking #.

These three emails would have made me less antsy.
For instance I have two orders I am waiting for and when I get the \"your order shipped\" with no further information I dont know which order shipped or what pieces.
Also tracking #s on every order, for some reason my first order didnt have one but the second one did, and I dont know about the third one.
Maybe at some point in the email explaining what point in the process you are. I had no idea that the \"your order was processed\" didnt mean that it was shipped. I watched my mailbox anxiously for days.

The more information the better.. .

but hey . . these are just suggestions. . .I realize
implementing these features would cost time and money
and drive up prices.

I was warned about ordering from New Wave before I ever placed my first order. While my friend had endless trouble, my first order went through fast and shipped a lot faster than I thought possible. I mean I got it less than a week after I placed it! (And the order I placed with Reaper about the same time took an additional week to get to me.) So, I decided to place another order with New Wave. (Since I almost destroyed poor Freya while trying to re-position her arm...) This time, I ordered more items, and it took a little longer to process. Which seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I still have une figurine backordered, but I can deal with it.. What I can\'t deal with is the mother zoggers at Hobby Workshop got my money for my order, but can\'t find out what I ordered :flame:. At leat Newwave let\'s me know if it was recieved, I emailed HW 2 times without reply. I finally got them on the phone, and they were just confused. It\'s one thing to charge for a 90% order, it\'s another for 0..

I have given up with these guys

I have placed three orders with new wave. Every time I have either had to wait for something, or have a complete fight to get it sent to me.

The last time, after countless unanswered e-mails, several phone calls to an answering machine that is always full, and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, I finally stumbled onto their Forum (on the site). I was able to get a response right away and someone did get \'alternate\' items sent to me.

I realize New Wave\'s problem is alot of times with the manufacturers, but frankly, that is their problem. There was never any delay accepting my money.

And why post a phone number or an e-mail address that no-one will respond to ?

And while I appreciate Borgs response and his efforts to help customers, I don\'t believe he can help the countless others that aren\'t as lucky as to stumble over this or New Wave\'s forums.

New Wave has an unbelievable selection, and a incredible website. I understand the difficulties dealing with this. Some things are out of New Waves control. But customer service is NOT one of those things.

I am not sure if I will ever place an order with New Wave again. It really is a shame, because there seems to be alot of good potential there.

Sorry for the rant, but I feel loads better.

Now I\'m worried...

Hmm my first order to New Wave was for the CMON figs (the contest ones) and it\'s been 13 days since I ordered them. Ok, I live in Canada. But I got an order of plastic bottles from Arizona took less than 5 days to reach my door. I just hope the figs will reach my door soon or I won\'t have time to paint them and get them up on the site...:~(

My second new Wave order (processed Jan. 20) just got to me today. One mini is on backorder.

Yes, this one did take longer to arrive than my first order.

Now what can I do with a headless Valkyrie???

Soothand, if you would email me with your name, I can find out what is going on... we did have to wait a week for more females to come in... and we do not have any back orders for any CMON miniatures. If by any chance that we cause you to be late for the deadline, you will still get the next one for free... don\'t worry about that.

And Kannan, if yours is damaged, just email me and I will get you a replacement. The head of the female is a little fragile, not your fault:)

Borg,
thanks dude! I\'ll wait a few more days just because of our infamous postal system. If by say the 14th or so I don\'t get the order I\'ll let you know.:D

I was thinking of doing something like having her holding her severed head instead of that monsterous sword. But, yes, it was damaged in shipping.

Not so bad

Have had no trouble with New Wave, but do get some delays when I want an e-mail response. I had Borg\'s ear by e-mail and he was very helpful, as he is still proving on this forum. He told me what they had in stock, and that stuff was in my hands in a week. (So. Cal. is not so close to Georgia, from where I understand the items were shipped.) Still waiting for a few items, but I was told right up front they weren\'t on hand.
Though I\'d love to get an ETA... ;)

no trouble...just delays

I haven\'t had any real problems with them. When I placed my first order, I received 5 of the 11 figs I purchased within the first few days. I ended up having to call a couple of weeks later to ask about the others. They were easy to get in touch with and gave me quick answers.

When it comes to Reaper figs, I was told that all they can do is wait until they get a restock of things and even they don\'t know when that is going to happen.

The only thing I could think of to help is something that tells you if what you are ordering is there or on backorder.

(I will say that even though it took three shipments and two months to get all of my figs, I might not be waiting as long as I seem to be for my Windsor & Newton brushes.....rant over)

I just recieved my minis last night. The male one is fine but the female was a little on the miscast side. the mold did\'nt mesh on the edges and I have a shelf along the side of her leg that you could stand a snotling on! A bit of putty should take care of that. I guess it\'s just one of the fun aspects of buying over the net.
Other than that the fig looks quite good.
Now, all I gotta do is get my arse in gear!lol

New Wave...the incredible web site with everything you want...it\'s all just on backorder/outofstock/intheblackestholeofhell. I found New Wave when I was working for Wizard\'s of the Coast 2 years ago. I ordered a Rakham figure when they were near-new on the scene. HOOOOOOLY cow did I have trouble getting what I ordered. I had to send multiple e-mails and call several times. I ended up talking to a guy that said he ran New Wave. He very politely explained that the confrontation mini\'s were made in Europe, there was a slow casting process, made in ltd quantity, blah blah etc etc. Point was I waited almost 2 months for a mini. Anytime I called and spoke to \"the guy\" there was never a concrete date to when their shipment had arrived. I understand these problems, but like Supervike said: There wasn\'t a delay in my payment. As the consumer it isn\'t my problem. Well...I just recently ordered from New Wave after a 2 year hiatus. A bunch of Vallejo paints and 2 Dragyri\'s. I got my paints (most of them, I received one duplicate color instead of the missing color) in a nondescript box with no packaging, no shipping slip, no receipt, and no mention of the 2 figures I ordered that were not in the box. And like others, the email addresses and handy dandy phone #\'s lead straight into a brick wall.
:( Should I have learned my lesson?

Well, here I am, I have given out my email address countless times on this forum, again it is borg@newwave.org. If you have a problem, email me and I will do my best to get it resolved. Shipping error happens, and I can correct that, and if you are talking about the January Dragyris, we do not have them yet, we should get them in next week. At the end of the day, all you want is your product and I am here to help you, why not give me a chance instead of assuming the worst all the time. If our intention is to keep backordering people and ignore them, why am I trying to help constantly. Yes, we do have problems and we are trying our best to solve them and our customer service people are somewhat overwhelmed with emails and phonecalls, but I am offering my help, just give me a chance!

Quick little things that would help with Customer Satisfaction Scores:
On the front page under Dark Age

Dark Age January Releases shipping next week.

This was put up on the website 2 weeks ago. The consumer is being led to believe they would be shipping next week.

This month we have the dreaded leader of the Skarrd,

This again, leads the consumer to believe you will have the figures on hand by the end of January.
Don\'t get me wrong, New Wave has a huge selection of stuff that I\'d be hard pressed to find elswhere. New Wave does have competitive pricing. And the site layout is very easy to navigate. I kinda figured it would take a while for the Dragyris to show up..but that isn\'t reflected anywhere in the Dark Age blurb that\'s taking up 3/4 of my browser screen.

Whoa there

Hey look. Instead of slamming them, why not just chill. Shop somewhere else instead of raving about them here. Just my two cents.

Wow. Bold print makes me sound like a braying jackass. I really didn\'t mean to come off that harsh. Was just pointing things out.
