New wave

Sorry about that. We only post what we are told. Dark Age is in Atlanta, don\'t think we will ever run out of the stuff. The release was supposed to be last week, said so on their Dark-age\'s web site, but there was a slight delay on the card print run... won\'t be long now. Didn\'t mean to confuse the public, just relating information which we have no control over. As soon as we get them in, they will go out the same day... promise you that it won\'t get dragged out... still waiting for your email (your name) so that I can send you out your missing paint....

Well, Borg , what about that Fenryll Dragon you guys still owe me after over a year? BTW, I\'m not interested in subbing the Ravage sub if it -as you said - does not include the specified mini.
Every time I\'ve emailed or called - and actually gotten an answer/real person - it was some uninformed h.s. or just plain, well, wrong.
Yes, Fenryll is in France, and maybe they do their casting by hand, but how come other webstores have no problem getting them, and if they do , they don\'t feed you a bunch of Barbra Streisand?

Borg took care of my problem, and made sure I was satisfied with the online shopping experience. Initially I was a little put off, but now I\'d order from them again in a heartbeat.

Well, I\'m sorry to say that I\'m still in the middle of a bad experience with New wave. I ordered some epicast bases in november and still hadn\'t recieved them in january, so I emailed the address for order queries on new wave\'s site and got no response whatsoever. A couple of weeks later I emailed borg directly, I got a response, that new wave had just been restocked by epicast and my order would be sent out immediately. A week later I got some bases, but only about 1/3 of what I ordered and am still waiting on the rest. I can understand that manufacturers can be slow to restock there suppliers, but it\'s been 4 months, and it\'s not like epicast is in a different country or anything. Sorry about this rant, but i\'ve got an army sitting on my desk that I can\'t start painting untill I get these bases:(

hmmm... sorry about that, I am at a different office, all I knew was that bases came in, I did not know quantities and such. I will check on it today to see why your were short...

Ya know, New Wave seems to suffer the same problem as my local game shop. Namely items selling so well that the stock on hand runs out! Then the inevitable wait for a restock order. (With back orders likely outnumbering new stock arrivals...)

I emailed Borg, and he got right back to me. (Literally! The response was that fast!) I\'ve placed a few New Wave orders, and will most likely continue to do so. They have competitive prices and access to far more companies than my local stores do.

My experience with New Wave has been somewhat mixed. I\'ve placed three orders with them. The first two I had problems with, but upon speaking with Borg (face to face at DragonCon, the last two years) he was extremely nice, and more than willing to make up for the issue. The third time was for the CMON figs, and I received those within a few days. I do have some remaining concerns, mainly 1) the seemingly overlong time it takes to get orders processed, 2) the (IMO) overcharged shipping (both of these complaints in particular because I live only about an hour and a half from there, and can\'t understand why it would take two weeks and a 8.00 shipping charge to get here), and 3) the lack of customer service in any situation other than face-to-face with Borg.

Would I order from them online again? I really don\'t know. They have some wonderful prices, and a great selection, but the hassles that CAN happen (not always, but two out of three so far) make me very reluctant to do so. I\'m much more likely to actually just drive up there next time and buy my stuff at the warehouse. The reason I would still be willing to give them my money after the trouble I\'ve had, is because of the fact that Borg really does seem to care, and that he is always willing to fix things that have gone wrong.

That does lead me to one question, Borg. Are the minis sold at the physical location discounted as the online prices are?

My experience is also mixed. My first order was a disaster. I could live with the delay. I could live with the partial order that finally arrived. What incensed me was the total inability (at the time) to respond to any of my emails. No word, no acknowledgement, nothing. I started off friendly and moved through peeved, concerned, angry to ballistic. I finally got a reply only when I suggested that I was going to raise the issue with my solicitor. After this I got first class service and although the original minis I had ordered could no longer be supplies NW substituted some I-Kore stuff I was after.
Having said this, my second order went through like a dream. So, yes I would trust them and order again but my blood is already starting to boil at remembering all those unanswered emails. (Now I Know about Borg - for all of ten minutes- and I am even more reassured) but there is nothing more off-putting than having your cash removed from your wallet and then being studiously ignored.

Absolutely, feel free to come by the warehouse. That way you can see what we have and get what you want. We are off exit 13 on 400. Email me and I will be more than happy to give you directions. In fact, I would love for you to see our warehouse and see that we actually do have a lot in stock, just that we do a large turnover and the popular stuff flies off the shelf.

We have flat rate shipping. However sometimes (not all the time) if it is a smaller order of a couple of miniatures, we do lower our shipping to $5.50 for the customers without asking. I chose the shipping to be the prices they are at because we only charge you once for shipping regardless of how many times we ship products out to you, and due to the fact that we often run out of stuff and eventually having to send multiple shipments, it was designed to somehow offset that. Hope that makes sense.

Like I said before and i will say it again. While my staff might not be able to get back to you as fast because they are pretty overwhelmed. I am always available to all the CMON members with their problems and I will try to get back to you in a timely manner.

I ordered a bunch of dice sets from New Wave last April. I received a couple of the sets and a note that the last were on order. How does a hobby company run out of dice? I\'ve never gotten through via email and when I try to phone in I get a machine that says no space left of tape. I\'ll bet there isn\'t any space left on that tape!

New wave must change if they want me back

I had a few happy transactions with new wave within the last few years, and their online catalog is very useful. But when I found out that they charge your credit card before they even check their stock............
The problem came when I ordered some Confrontation, Celtos, Reaper, and GW. Well, I got the Celtos, Reaper and GW. But apparently the Confrontaion was out of stock. Not once was I emailed about an out of stock portion of my shipment, or even when I could expect a restock. But they were fine with charging my credit card for the entire order! Sorry, guys, but that\'s illegal in a lot of places! Apparently not Georgia.

After about 6 progressively angrier emails to NewWave I finally got a reply that told me what I already knew: they are out of stock. I never did get full satisfaction, but I made enough of a stink that they did refund a portion of the $ for the items I did not receive.

All that said, I really do hope they get their act together. I\'ve ordered minis from three other sites without incident, so I know it CAN be done. I love their site, but as of now, it is no more than a research tool.

Borg, I think it\'s great that you are able and willing to answer emails. But wouldn\'t it go a long way to help your cause to address the issues on this board for all to see? Specifically, why does New Wave charge the credit card before actually verifying the stock. And why must the entire amount be charged at once. Is it not prudent to charge for the out-of-stocks when they actually come in? Seriously, this is the only reason I\'m taking my money elsewhere.

Look... I am not hiding, not running away. I am here on a daily basis trying to help whoever it may be that have orders pending to see what went wrong. I have helped many this way. If you did have a bad experience with my company or claim that I still owe you products, email me... what good would it possibily do if you post on public forums, but refuse to email me? I obviously have customers who are satified with my service and some that are not. We can go round and round until we are blue in the face. All I can say is, got a problem with New Wave, email me... if I ignore your email, fine, blast away...
