Hi everyone,

here are two new works from me. First an Avalon Knight from Kraken. The promised article will be published as soon as the last painter is ready (the article will feature 3 versions by three different painters). Second up is a Napoleonic bust. I hope you will enjoy them! Comments welcome!

Avalon Knight:

This is a wonderful figure sculpted by the talented Allan Carrasco and painted for an article in order to create attention for the new figure line Kraken Editions. I choose to paint it with a very clear ambiance and focusing on the basics: light, ambiance, textures. After seeing the version by Jeremie it was very hard to create something different but hopefully enough. The arm is used in a reversed manor but it makes interesting and still anatomically possible.

French Napoleonic 1804-1815

This is a French Napoleonic bust from Historex Agents. It is my first bust in this scale and the pallette was very different from what I am used to but I must admit I enjoyed it immensely. The pallette is intented to depict the hard life of a soldier aswell as a cold winter setting.

Also please have a look at my website where all new works will be published aswell as articles when time permits!

both are lovely! i especially like the base and metallics on the first one,

Both very nice! :) The first one is great in its simplicity, and the metals are awesome. But thhe bust is even better in my opinion - the skintones are superb. I think the scratches on his uniform should be a bit more subtle, though.

I prefer the nepolionic bust ( i need to get around to doing a bust some time), the face is really nicely painted, with a very slight stuble. The base on the first mini is awsomeness, but i\'m not too sure about the mini ( personal prefeance only). Nice job! =)
