Yay, yipee, hurrah my girlfriend has agreed that I may buy the shed I want and make it into a workshop, and here it is.

Aproximately 24 feet X 20 feet by 16 feet (or 7.3 meters X 6.0 meters X 4.8 meters for you metric users) with a loft.

I\'m going to run electricity to it , insulate it, and sheetrock the walls.
Then I\'m going to add a spare window unit air conditioner. I\'m thinking about running some cat5 so I can put my second computer in it and set up my photo lab there. :D:D:D

that is a big shed!!

While your running your electricity, you might as well drop some buried phone cable (at least 5 pair) and a cable coax in the same trench.

Heck even if you don\'t use them, they can be \"stubbed out\" for future use.

Very cool!

Yup! That\'s definitely an American shed.

Over here it would be called, \'a bijou detached residence, in its own rural setting\';)

*EDIT*
Actually here it\'s considered a small barn, but since I have no cattle or crops, I just call it a shed.

Ah Finn you don\'t know what you are missing.
Norm Abrham is a man after your own heart. He\'s a master carpenter and does his own woodworking show,.........But he has every conceiveable woodworking power tool you could ever think of. (And some that you would never think of.)

And he does it all in Plaid shirts (Tartan checks to we Brits).

Norm Abram is a TV carpenter

http://www.newyankee.com/

He used to be the right hand man of Bob Villa, the host of a fix \'er up show...

Secondly, I have a \'shed\' in my backyard. It is only 12X16 though. Would you consider that a shed or a \"cringe\"? lol

Hijacking the thread a bit, there was a Woman Called MEG .......something who had a DIY show. (She\'s Canadian, but absolutley \"Carp\" at everything she does.) In fact she\'s so bad she\'s become a cult status. She couldn\'t even assemble a dovetailed joint box, that she\'d made!

I just wish I could remember her name and to find out more details.

EDIT: Mag Ruffman; here\'s a link:

Yeah, I just inherited three acres of field land off of a highway. My girlfriend and I are planning on moving there soon and will be setting everything up.

No wonder she\'s crap! I thought I recognized that name and face....

Mag Ruffman was one of the stars of the long-running canadian t.v. show \"Road to Avonlea\"

I\'m ashamed to say that I used to love that show.
