New worst miniature

Hi folks, I recently discovered this place and for a laugh I posted an old, old, miniature of mine.

It is now the number one worst miniature on this site, but the truly horrifying thing is that someone has given it a vote of more than 1, scary.

Now I don\'t want any of you jokers going off and giving it high votes, I am now (and hope to remain) the proud holder of the official worst miniture award.

Anyway, just thought I\'d say hello, you never know I might even post some more recent paintjobs.

Welcome to CMON and the forums..but, there is no way you are gonna get that title, that\'s a good mini!!! There are far worse on here believe me.

Hey - I gave it a 3 cause at least you could tell what the hell it was - there are some here that fall into the Lump of Painted lead category -

Yeah, I gave it a 3 too. I remember seeing a mini that was hand \"sculpted\" It looked like turd painted white with accessories attached with elmers glue. Now that was the worst mini I\'ve ever seen. uunfortunately i can\'t remember it\'s id. I\'ll try and find it so you can compare

Now you\'ve gone and done it. Sounds like it may be time for the \"worst mini you can dig out of your box\" competition.

How would the rules work....

Let\'s see, no new pieces, has to be something already finished.

Has to be something that you were probably going to strip or melt down but haven\'t gotten around to yet.

Any others you all can think of????

Think that\'s maybe an impossible task to get the worst mini since vincegamer\'s talon is at a 2.3. Lordy! (I do think that is VERY funny, btw, that that is not #1) We seem to be generous with the ratings under 5, but trying to get a 7 is like pulling teeth.lollol Oh well, at least whenever I get one, I know that I\'ve earned it.;)

Amen brother. Still looking for somethin over a six too. Working a bunch of new figs that might make it, have to wait and see. I know what you mean about dishing low scores. I have trouble giving something less then a 3. I\'ve only given one 2 and never a 1. Not sure what a real 1 would look like, probably induce nightmares...lollollol

There\'s always the mini repaint page over on Zaphod\'s site - good collection of, well, crap from someone\'s early years that has been redone.

I\'ve got a bunch of old mini\'s that I\'d love to repaint but haven\'t got the time...too many new ones to do:D:D:D

Well it appears I spoke too soon, I\'m now merely 8th in the worst miniature category sniff :( My victory was short lived it seems.

Thanks for all your comments guys but I think you\'re all being slightly generous, giving it 3s, I may have to find something even worse now.

Paintwidow - yes the horse does have green stripes on it\'s butt, I can\'t remember why but it must\'ve seemed like a good idea at the time (hey I was only 13 or 14).

As for nostalgia, well you should see some of the other miniatures I\'ve got - GW\'s Rider of Rohan (mounted and on foot), a few of GW\'s Judge Dredd figures, pre-slotta base Chaos warriors, the 2 headed Kevin Peat dragon (in an ill-advised purple and yellow colour scheme), the list goes on.

I\'m glad to see that everyone\'s got a sense of humour about this stuff, the hobby\'s supposed to be fun after all.

I think I\'ll strip the figure and repaint it, see how it looks then.

id at least give it a 2 or 2.5. kinda a kool klassic old mini also so that grows on me a bit. persinally i dont thhink it should be the worst here since ive seen a few that are way scarier aka not wholly painted or even worse sculpt jobs bu hey if you wanna be the best at soemthing yah gotta work for it. good luck ond e werst mini and may your newer ones get 5\'s or higher.

For those who don\'t know, vincegamer is a very talented artist, check out his warmaster stuff - unbelieveable!

This was posted as an experiment to see what sort of votes people would give it, and it still hasn\'t hit number 1!!

In fact, until vince pointed out his bit of mischief, I seem to remember it was doing relatively well.

i think the skulpt is hurting rabs or maybe its a past sight into how cmon minis were rated or maybe rabs will get there sooner or later. truck on.

I didn\'t advertise it or anything. I just was curious what it takes to get a 1 around here and apparently it isn\'t possible. I mean, I literally grabbed a 30 year old unpainted BIT! out of my bitz box and stuck it on an unpainted base and took a picture. 2.3?? I was getting 2.3 on painted stuff when I started - well, really more like 3.3 but the point is it\'s close.

You won\'t keep the worst spot. I had all 10 of the worst 10 for about 2 weeks. They are still up here but they\'ve risen in the ranks.

Oh, and Finn, thanks for the complement and the free advertising! Those Warmaster minis are about to go up on ebay!lol

I should rake out the first miniature I ever painted (if I still have it): Chaos Warrior painted in black enamel with a black ink wash (yeah, I know) and big red stripes on every armour edge. Hideous.

And things still aren\'t any better!
