New Year Resolutions

Eh, I just try to be good(ish), and do as well as I can in whatever I'm doing, specific resolutions seem pointless, although I'd like to win something at GD and similar competitions in adult categories, get a proper website up and running etc.

Good luck! Personally, I think if you make it to march without buying anything you're some kind of super hero. Not like Superman or Thor or anything, maybe closer to Ant-Man, but still a super hero. Keep us posted on this please.
will do, but you have not seen my lead mountain I could paint a figure a day and still have loads in 2012.:tremble:

You and me both brutha, but the reason you have that lead mountain is probably because, like me, you feel the call of the little men demanding you buy them. I still wish you good luck!

Paint more.
Get back to the gym at least 2-3 times a week.
Teach my kids how to build model kits. (starting with snap-together)
Cut back on World of Warcraft. (shameless addict). :)

Ditto. I'm still holding back from pulling the trigger on a $200 purchase here at CMON. I have sooooo much to paint already.. Why do I "need" more?

Like almost everyone here paint more and sculpt.

I want to look good naked (sorry for the disturbing image there). I'm being put on a diet and exercise regime (by my gym instructor and my wife :sarcastic:) to prove its also what you eat that makes you round bellied not just exercise.

I also will be a first time father in March so I'll be doing my best to look after my little girl. To be honest I'm a little freaked by it all .

And finally I must learn some Mandarin so I can speak to my in-laws without my wife translating all the time.

Like most, I want to lose weight/get in shape/stop smoking like a lot of others; however, I figured those are pretty much what most people have for resolutions, so I gave it some thought and came up with a couple of things that, like Alex mentioned, are more along the line of aims or goals that actual resolutions.

1) Be more active in my community. Been living here for 15 years and it wasn't until the past year that I actually started getting involved in things within the community, such as the art expo at the library and the local playhouse. There are plenty of opportunities and things to do, so I'm going to try and take advantage of them instead of staying cooped up at home.

2) Write. After working with Wyrd on some of the Malifaux stories and all that, several people asked me what I was going to work on next. There's a ton of stuff that's been fermenting in the ol' gray matter for 20+ years, so I'm really going to work on getting some of those things written.

Well, the main resolution for me is to see through the opening of my little figure business. God knows if it'll work out or not, but the opportunity came by to put a little money aside, and it just seemed a fairly interesting thing to do. I'll be gunning for the first figure to at least sell enough to recoup the costs, thus giving me the money to do another! But, if it all fails miserably, the fact of the matter is that I've given it a go, and I've learnt an awful lot in the process.

Other resolution? It would be nice to think I'd be able to paint one mini a month purely to keep the hand in, but we'll see :)

That'll do...as long as I've got my health and enough money to pay the bills, I'll be happy enough :)

Try to get my paint line up and running, i would like to get some 8's up here on CMON, Get some of my minis painted and outta here, I would like to make some money on that end of the scale. Workout more often. Trying to drop back down to 150, (i'm 180, 5 foot 4. i know..i'm tiny and chubby. I say i'm stout!) I would like to win some kind of competition for painting. But i don't really plan on travelling anywhere, so only online ones for me(if i can find any)

Cheers, Gary.
