New Years Resolutions

Mini-stuff:
1. To remember that 2am is definitely not painting time.
2. Shower AFTER painting, not before.
Last night was a failure in both and after rushing into work this morning, I discovered my thumb still covered with green and white.
3. Make an appreciable dent in my unpainted stock - over 600 minis.
4. Paint something worthy of CMON.

Now doesn\'t that basically sum up every mini-painter\'s list?

Non-mini:
1. Yeah, right!

I wear my paint stains with pride! :D
Today my thumb has spots and lines with all shades of steel and gold nmm. It also has a few shades of brownish red on it. lol

I guess that should do it. Don\'t want to get to ambitious :D

[edit] Oops!!! FOrgot two important ones:

- post more meaningless drivel on the forums
- continue my vow to never put up any of my minis

:bouncy:

I hear you brother!!!

Sensible ones:

-Stop smoking AGAIN!!! (stopped for over a year, then separated & became weak!)
-Get a 9, which means I\'ll have to set up my painting kit again and produce some good stuff.
-Do a proper NMM mini
-Get off my back-side and do more work for GroundForge (Spacemunkie wants: Dreadnought bases, big bases, another display base etc etc.........)

And a few other things :wow:

Get through the rest of the academic year without punching one of the little inbred gobshites I am forced to teach on a daily basis.

Find an alternative career.

Leave the country?

I think I\'m going to have to add a couple to my list that other mentioned here, as I showered last night THEN started an hours long painting project at about 10.

So today I am both tired and have strangely colored paint blotches on my hands and arms (paint was flying everywhere last night at 2am!)

Mini related:

-post some of my stuff and hopefully get a 7 for something.
-finish 1000pts of warmachine
-get up to 2500pts of wood elves (just in time for them to bring out loads of nice new figures  )
-post more on the forums (should be able to beat 2004\'s 2 messages easily :D )

Non-mini:

-get some CD decks and start DJing again
-find a local radio station looking for a rubbish DJ for the graveyard shift
-go to Glastonbury again

Like many others, I want to paint more.

I carry a lot more weight than I should. I joined a YMCA in late February 2004 and have logged over 200 visits since I joined. I want to keep working out, and keep on my running program, and hopefully participate in my first 6k race by Summer 2005.

I\'d like to start experimenting with Hirst Arts molds, building more terrain and such.

I also desparately need to change jobs. We\'ll see if I can do that this year as well.

With all due respect,...

...everyone here who thinks they will keep even half of their \"resolutions\" is full of crap. Yes I support everyone who strives for self improvement, but I thoroughly hate the custom of making promises on the New Year that evoporate by the end of the first week.

In lieu of making any rediculous resolutions, I sincerely wish everyone a safe and healthy New Year! Keep up the sharing of ideas and art that serves to inspire us all.

That\'s why I made a ton of them, half wouldn\'t be so bad :D

But seriously, I actually DID keep my one resolution from last year, and it wasn\'t even an easy one (no fast food for a year). I can honestly say it was both hard to keep and I am better off/healtier because of it.

Now it\'s 8am jan 1 2005, where\'s my McMuffin!

(just kidding, actually a year without any of that junk kind of killed any urge I have to eat it again)

I don\'t make New Year\'s resolutions. As I need to throughout the year, I\'ll just try to set my mind to things I need to do. Not always successful, but I find it better than making a list at the start of the year. :)

Though I did say this to a friend earlier in the evening:

I think I have a resolution for this year: \"Screw politeness, start being a bastard to everyone.\"

His response: \"That\'s not so much a resolution as it is a continuation.\"

lol

OK, I stand corrected, that is a resolution that I think you have a great shot of keeping!

Precisely why I made such assinine resolutions. With any luck I won\'t keep any of them. :D

Edit: The only one I have a prayer of keeping is the one about \"posting more meaningless drivel here in the forums\" ;)

Ok, first off I stopped making New Years resolutions. The way to live life is how you want it, eat what you want do what you want and always have a back-up plan if anything goes wrong. Why make resolutions to make yourself healthier ect... if only they will make you not so happy. Personally you get one chance at life and atleast you can say at the end, \"didn\'t do much in my life, but hell I had a blast not doing anything.\"

So live life to the fullest doing what you want to do and never make any exceptions to what makes you happy.

...on a side note I keep my life in track writing in a pad of paper of what has to get done that day and plan a week away what I have to do. It really does open up time so you can do the things you like.

So take my advice live life to the fullest, plan a bit in advance and just enjoy life, I dont think there is anything better than living your life the way you want, so don\'t comprimise it with diets and excerise if you dont want to, if you like to run the power to you running is healthy but if you spend your entrie life excersising when you hate exercise your not living life to it\'s fullest.

Well enough ranting about resolutions, now back to listening to some Allanis Morrisette.

Oh by the way if you want check out www.batreps.tk if looking at nice battle reports is your fancy I have fun making em so I\'m sure some of you love to look at them.
