Total newbie here...first post...no pics...only one mini completed. (?!?!?!) After my first attempt (pics soon) came off pretty well, I\'ve been bitten by the mini bug and my second project is Reaper\'s Elise the Witch as seen here:

I want to put this mini on a 25mm round base, but I need advice on how to integrate the molded-on base into the 25mm base, like I see here:

http://www.coolminiornot.com/173884

What I do NOT want is for the mini to look like she is sitting on a hill, like this:

Should I cut the molded base off?...drill a big enough hole in the 25mm base for the molded base to sit down in and then blend with putty?...New at this!...Help please!

Well your 2 stright forward options are to cut the base off...(Id do this_ or build up the base around the mini\'s base.

whatever you do, remember to pin the mini to the base.

Where\'s the stem? LOL

The way to mount a mini like this into a base, is to simply cut the top of the base off. You\'ll end up with a square ring, shaped like a picture frame. Place the mini inside the ring, and tack it in place with some superglue. Then fill in the base with putty/greenstuff/whatever. It\'s a good half hour worth of work, but you can hide the big bump on the base this way.

That was actually my first thought, to sink the mini \"in\" the base... of course, by \"cut the top off\", I\'m assuming you are talking about one of the plastic bases..I\'m actually using some wood discs I bought a bag of at Hobby Lobby, so I\'d be drilling a hole. They have a slightly rounded edge I kind of like. I also use basswood squares for square bases...I\'ve just about finished a parquet floor base for another mini I\'ve started and with the wood square, I can leave the wood edges exposed as part of the \"Floor\".

Actually I would just glue the mini onto the base, and use a healthy layer of PVA glue or wood glue before sprinkling with your clock or oregano. If your not going for an outdoor look though, I would suggest sinking the mound into the base then just filling the gap with green stuff or Aqua-mend. If your trying to keep that finished wood-grain all over the base though I don\'t see anything you can do aside from cut off the mound and pin her to the base.

Hard Cover --> Sorry...I was talking about two different bases...the witch is going on an outdoor base, the parquet floor is for a different project. Most minis I\'ve seen with an integral base, it would work to just build up with PVA, but this one, the molded-on base is actually like a little hill...If I mount her on top of another base and then build it up, it would look like she\'s sitting on a big grassy pedestal, like this:
