Next project

Coming back to the hobby I noticed that a fair few Eldar had just been redone so I was very tempted to buy some, I looked online to try and get some direct from GW but the ones I wanted were only sold in box sets and not even sold as individuals online . I went to my local hobby store however and bought one of the new warlocks, these is my next project.

Its just dryed pinned to the base atm. The colour scheme im thinking for this one is purple and grey/white as the main colours, i\' llsee where that takes me .

After lots of contemplation on colour choice things are finally beginning to take shape. I really wanted to stay away from the reds and blues on these one as I have a fair few samurai in those colour schemes.

Was\'nt to sure on the yellow at first , thought it may be a bit to much of a contrast but I think its looks ok. I spent ages on the cloak trying to make it look nice and smooth, I really like things painted white but I find it a real challenge to work with.

I like the purple and grey scheme and the gold chest rune is cool too.

The purple looks as if another hifglight or two could help though IMHO

the cloak looks terrific, is it white or grey? i think its white, but it could go either way i suppose

@orkydave, still lots of work to do on the purple, only really at the basecoat stage in those pictures.

@starks333, I\'m going for white with the cloak (hopefully). I started off with a 50/50 codex grey and black mix then to codex grey, then fortress grey, then finally white but the white is applied in lots of very thin coats, it took bleedin ages and was a real challenge, now i\'m scared to attempt any freehad on it .

I think the face needs a bit of work, its proving quite a challenge, already messed it up once .

Very beautifull - the cape is astonishing!
Also like the golden // yellow colors for his symbols... great!!

A good color pattern, an whole army in those colors would look real great!

WOW! I love the spear! great freehand on it yes, I would say you need to work a bit on the \"face\".. it looks a bit messy... nice tones on the wraith bone when you look at the whole thing it looks GREAT!

I forgot to mention that I have the same color scheme to my eldar.. so I can use this piece as great inpriration

Liking the colourscheme, ties in well together!

I like the electricity pattern on the staff, really cool!

I think maybe the gems should be in a different colour to make them stand out and so they aren\'t lost in the overall model

Other than that, a great job so far! Keep it up! :beer:

Thanx for all the kind words, getting close to finishing it now, had a break from it today though and painted something else, anyway here is the latest pic.

Here is the one I did today, wanted to try out some snow which i have never done before, I like it but it seems to have gone a bit dirty in places.
