NMM chrome or not?

the first more than the second. nice work, might need some very bright glares and star type reflections in places to push it over the top.

The one on the left side looks better, because the horizon line is lower, and curves. Just need a hair more color (brown) under the black horizon line,.. and a hair more white on the upper side of the horizon line. I think you pulled the blue down a little too far into the white,.. not much though. And I'm just being nit-picky,.. because all in all, it looks good.

as the pro (WM) said. left side looks pretty good. With the small variations it even has reflected clouds.
About the blue: either bring a bit of white back like WM suggested or make the top darker with a darker blue. But to be honest this tweak I'd make after the whole is finished to see if it even needs it.

Ok, thanks for advices. I thought no one will answear.
I also think first is better, and going to focus on it (btw its my first nmm chrome ever on this pics).
Gona make two or more propositions and show you, then we decide.

... now I see colours on pics are flat.

It would be wiser, to make chrome at the end, but I have 2 month child, and its hard to find even two hours peer week for painting, also work, so trying diferent ideas.

Thanks again :)

A lot of it will come together at the end,.. when you use white to trim out your "hard edges". It will give the eye reference as to areas of "gathered light",.. and really helps sell the illusion of reflectivity. In this case,.. I'd say to imagine a light source (like the sun), and trim your upper edges (and possibly side edges) that face the light source,.. but not on the lower or far edges. Because light does not collect on every edge,.. even on chrome. And the inter-play of light and shadow is what you need here.

Hope that made sense,..

it's because of the contrast. You need a really stongly defined line between the sky and earth. The Airbrushed white does't help. It will look good once you redefined the horizontline, which should be not so straight, but like on the first segment.

Also even though it's not realistic, you could make the horizont curve a little on the last 3 segments too (on the right side only).

Could you write it again?
As I understand:
1 - line between sky earth - u mean black or white line? This is the problem, cant imagine how should it look? Which segment is closest, I assume first, but how to create stronger contrat.
2 - all gona be curved, its straight on last segemnts because I was in hurry - bath time, crying u know.

My english is like my todays painting - crap :)

Like on the first panel,... you need a stark black line living directly underneath a stark white line,.. that is what designates the horizon. The horizon line on your first plate is crisp and clean and stark,... while on the rear panels the horizon line is "fuzzy".

Also,.. the further from the ground,.. the less ground it will reflect. By the time you get to the last plate, the ground should just be barely a sliver of color,.. the rest should be mostly sky.

1 - both. What I mean is having is as sharply defined as on the first panel. Like I think you started on the last one too.
Usually the horizont line is painted like: almost black on the earth part, going lighter as you go down and a white/almost white part on the sky going blue as you go up. I think the first panel is good (maybe you could push the white/dark brown where they meet, but I'm not sure it's needed) just have the same type of horizont on the others and they will look good too.
Just at this step it's hard to see yet.
