NMM experts and novices alike - I did some NMM but I\'m not sure if it\'s any good!

What\'s so impressive to me, is you chose to start with some weapons that aren\'t a few simple flat faces like a typical sword would be. All those notches and rough goblin weaponry really made you work with the weird faces and complex angles than something more straightforward!
So now that you\'re won your first battle with NMM what pointers/tips/OMG realizations can you give for those like me who have yet to try it?

@freakinacage: Heh! Thanks, I guess. I\'m flattered!
@Scherdy: Thanks! What I\'m doing now is simply picking out 2 or three hot spots on edges. I then use those to decide where the adjacent surfaces will be the brightest and try to make a very smooth gradient up to that. Then I take the face on the other side and any surface that curves downwards and make that a cold spot and make gradients that are darkest there. After that I just take extremely diluted white or almost white and just emphasize the tips and hot spots. If the hot spots get too sloppy I blend a darker color and blend away, making them small and smooth again. Keep going till it looks shiny enough.
I really just copied Ritual\'s photoshopped image and then took that method to the rest of them.
Now I just have to finish the robes and rest of the minis so they don\'t look so lame in comparison to the spearheads!
