NMM gold - how do I do it?

Didn\'t get a bite in my WIP thread so I thought I\'d drop it out here: hoping to replace my gold metalic with non metalic colors but haven\'t had any luck just throwing myself in there. Also didn\'t find a gold \"how to\" on the articles section.

Anyone have a link for me?

Im sure there were a few articles on gold. Its the same as all the rest but you use a yellow/brown. Like snake bite. Remeber gold wont reflect pure white so the highest you should go is lemony color.

Check out Vincent Hudons Magmatrax tut, http://www.hobbyhawk.com/Tutorials/MagmatraxTutorial.html. His NMM explanation is good.

gold does give off bright highlights.
thanks to image shack messing up i can\'t access it now, otherwise i would give you an example.

just don\'t paint it brown like a lot of people do or yellow. it\'s a mixture of the two. if you wan\'t to go for an old necklace that is worn a lot and not cleaned mix a tiny amount of green in.

just remember that gold doesn\'t oxidise.

edit. got the bugger working.

if adding green to a colour to change it\'s tone use a light green ink(only a tiny amount)

gw green ink is very dark and to strong for this imo. coat d\'arms inks are great for this.
