hi,

when i attempt to do wet blending the blending isnt smooth heres an example

you can see lines in the paint how could i get rid of these??

thin the paint even more. maybe add some flow improver. try feathering it (i think there\'s an article) and finally adding a wash can help pull the colours together

Yep. You need to thin your paint more. You have painted it all in the right places (for what you want to do) but if you thinned them done more you should have smoother results.

Personally, I like the stripes, although they look better smaller. Alot of metal has a \'grain\' to it, from a brushed finish, grinding (blades) and simple usage.

Good point shawn. I\'m always thinking that metal should be smooth (which is not always the case). Thats something for me to remember in the future.

If you\'re wet-blending, then thinning your paint is not the issue. You need to improve your brush technique for when you blend the paints together. This takes a lot of practice! That\'s the only way to learn. It\'s difficult to explain to someone how it\'s done and how to do it better. It\'s simply a matter of technique.

as you apply the paint follow with a clean damp (not wet) slightly stiffer brush....smooth the colours together.
It\'s like when you smudge a pencil mark with your finger.

still looking ok though and this close a lot of peoples work would look a lot rougher.
