No Chronopia love?

Just a few years back this was THE alternative to GW. About the only good looking figs I\'ve seen are Jeff Freeman\'s (gt4948c) Soulflayer and Angela\'s (SaxonAngel) blade maidens. Surely someone else has put decent paintjobs on these figs?

I have a few of the minis (not painted of course) but you raise a good point. Even though Chronopia has withered on the vine, you\'d expect to see a few of the minis around, painted...

Funny timing. I\'m hoping to have my first and only Chronopia figure finished today. I had been painting her as \"generic half-naked sword chick\" before I found out what game she came from.

She was in the discount bin of a local gaming store for around a buck. Love rooting through those things.

I remember Chronopia being the \"next big thing\" back when I was playing 40K a lot (as in six years ago). It died around here due to lack of support... Those I knew bought the figures as cheap proxy for the more expensive GW models.

Me too, but I\'ve just got so much other stuff lined up in front of them that it will take a while before I get there - particularly as they don\'t really go with anything I have already (bought in a cheap grab bag of minis on ebay)

I have the Monarch, and a base from Monolith Designs to put him on, just haven\'t gotten around to doing it. Maybe this will motivate me to do it finally....

That\'s quite nice, Tentoone. Much better than mine: http://www.coolminiornot.com/112647

I\'m not happy with the metallics; they\'re too rough. I should have done her in NMM. Eh, what can ya do.

I have actually been trying to find some of the Blade Maidens. Especially the Leader. So, if anyone has some they want to sell off... gimme a shout!

I love Chronopia

Hey, I\'m glad to see that I am not the only one who enjoys that line of minis!:D

I would love to buy a bunch of those.. they are very fun to paint.

I have been meaning to post these for a few months.. just never got around to it:rolleyes: I do believe that they are Chronopia figures...

I have a few Blade Maidens that I will be working on soon.

Chronopia love? No thanks. I did 30 days and 30 hoours community service for that once. Oh wait! No! That was something else :duh:
I\'ve got the Maidens of the Blade of which I\'ve actually painted all the flesh parts - and nothing else - for the last 18 months or so. :( Someday. Someday!
Really glad to see they haven\'t disappeared off the face of the earth. I really like their figures. Thanks for the link, DFD.

Well, I am remembering them as chronopia, and they appear to be the same style, but I can\'t find pictures that match the minis I have.

That\'s incentive to paint them and post in this thread. Of course, there are so many other things to paint, and they aren\'t female so I can\'t combine it with femme fatale.

Those would be Dream Warriors:

Great paintjobs by the way.

Hey, thanks Dragon... I didn\'t know the line had been picked up by a new company. I appreciate the info!

Ditto as well with a big \"thank you\" for the Excelsior website!:D I saw my two painted figs in one of the factions photo sections.

I am hoping to pick up all of the Sons of Kronos minis, as they would be perfect for our Slaine RPG. Now I don\'t have to sculpt the druid figure riding an elk!

BTW, I believe Kev White did much or all of the Chronopia sculpting. You can see the similarites in the Celtos and Void lines.. very eerie:wow:

I have always loved Kev\'s sculpts, as they are very clean, and allow me to do beacoup amounts of freehand :)

The other lines are very nice as well. Looks like I am going to have to save up lots of pennies!lol

Perhaps we will be seeing lots of painted Chronops here on CMON now.... yea!
:]

Hopefully Chronopia will catch back on. It\'s really a shame it has fallen off the radar, everyone raves about how good the rules are, but Excelsior has only had 5-6 new miniature releases in about the last two years for the game and none were very good.
Kev\'s style is very evident in the Sons of Kronos army. I don\'t know if he did much more than that though. I think he did a lot of Warzone figs for Target at the same time.
