No Large Scale Category at UkGD

Just having a look at the new WD, it has the category listing and guidelines for this years GD. Unfortunately it seems they\'ve decided not to have a large scale model category this year, I suppose its due to the fact that Inquisitor is now quite a marginal game and even last year FW large scale models had to entered into the Open competition

Shame really, I rather liked that category, it always had lots of nice conversions and paintjobs.

P.S What do you guys reckon to my new Avatar? I got bored and drew it

Yep that sucks, i had an idea for that category aswell, luckily i hadn\'t started it so i can focus on other stuff, lots of great models come out of that category aswell, that really is a shame.

i really like it and it suits the cicumstances in my opinion
it\'s really something like \"back to the basics\" and not that overrated, superflashy stuff it usually used to be...









... of course i am just referring to your new avatar, the lack of a large scale cat just blows :)

The rules for the US GamesDay put the Inquisitor models in with the 40k Large Monster category. Maybe they\'ll do the same for the UK one.

I fully expect the LOTR categories to be gone within a year or two. <g>

Luckily I haven\'t started anything nor even had any ideas for this years GD yet, so it doesn\'t affect me in that respect ;)

Even so, I assume all the models that previously would have been in the Large scale category are still eligable for the Open Competition

okay now im confused, if you read the 1st paragraph on page 4, on the second column (4th line to be exact) it says:

The categories though remain the same as last year.

Either they forgot to list it or messed up in the write up lol :duh:

Weirdness, maybe we\'ll have to keep an eye on the GW forums for errata etc, I suppose it is possible they just forgot it in the list


...like the avatar btw! :cool:;)
