Nope, you can get it to change direction. It does for me.
That shadow scares me a bit. I don't find it quite logical. I am 100% certain that she's turning right but judging from how the shadow moves she's facing us when she's supposed to be facing away from us. To have the shadow being closer to the foot when she's facing us would be logical if she was standing on a mirror... I'm perplexed. 
And yet I feel there's something wrong with my statement... XD

thats okay mate dont worry for someone who can only see it going one way perplexed is a "big word" who knows you may become a geeneus like what i am evenchally.That shadow scares me a bit. When you see it as forward the leg or arm could just as easily be going behind, not in front (try focussing on the shadow). I get a reversal every now and then when I don't look at it directly but see it in my peripheral vision.
It doesn't, you can check the frames in the GIF if you want to be sure. And it of course doesn't mean one has a 160 or better IQ (as if!) if you do see it going both ways, that's just a silly chain-letter email addition
The spinning woman is merely a perceptual test, which has nothing to do with intelligence.
