Well the company I work for is good, a free christmas lunch served by all the managers (and its a very good one, much better than organised do's at hotels that I have been to), although no cake (its a nut free site - LOL, that might be debateable as there are some loons there). We get a choice of a free ham, turkey, beef or cheese selection and they do lay on a totally free xmas party with meal and entertainment. Thumbs up from me.
And Dragons Reach, whilst I love the christmas spirit, snow, a good malt whiskey, christmas carols (in moderation) and fat guys descending chimneys, I think you hit the nail on the head with general sentiments on the season. I am not interested in the usurped christian holiday and its celebrations or the heightened commercialism. Unfortunately it is an expensive time of year and one that causes a lot of financial strain for many families with the expectations of children and the advertising garbage from a 1001 retailers being rammed down your throat. What I would prefer to do is keep more in the traditional vein of the holiday - feasting and drinking!! Winter was a tough time and food and warmth was the biggest worry back in the days when the holiday started. The true Christmas has precious little to do with the incorrectly attributed birthday of a 2000 year old rabbi.
