Catch a few people off guard?
I'm an actual, live, beautiful woman who wants to marry him. How could he say no?

You're underestimating male stupidity. Thankfully you picked a guy that's not a COMPLETE shmuck. (Don't take that as a compliment, TBS)

I wonder if any of the mod's are licensed ministers and can officiate the ceremony.

Hey, I take what ever I can get! Now having a minister on CMoN would be an interesting prospect, I suspect it'd become a kind of mini vegas for the geek community...

That's ok we have everything/everyone lined up. We're getting married at my Dad's church and his pastor is officiating. Pastor Carter is very good at what he does. He spoke at my brother's funeral and I've been to a few of the Christmas services as well and he's very entertaining and pretty open.

May 21st? A lot of work to do in a short time then. Liz and mine's won't be until 2012 sometime, even though Liz's signature says 2011, as she has forgotten to amend that. Her other knee operation is next year.

Look again, love. I fixed it.

Nice one. :highfive:

I imagine the bride/groom mini's on the wedding cake shall look the best they ever have. :brushlick:
Could be trouble, who shall make off with the pillars between the cake layers for scenery projects.

alas there shall be no minis or terrain pieces included on our cake. We may be mini freaks but we still have SOME class ;) Not much but some.

When me and the mrs got married big fantasy fans, but didn't want to go the way of miniatures in places. We had a mild LOTR themed wedding. All the tables were named after places in Middle earth, and the Table planner was the map of middle earth, invitations and menu's were written in both English and Elvish. Luckily I'm a photoshop freak so was able to knock this all together.

Geeky but classey

Well we weren't trying to keep it hush hush or anything. But I'm glad we did. More of a surprise for everyone.

Talion--I'd love to do some sort of themed wedding, however, both my Mom and Mich's Mom would probably have a heart attack right there in the church if we did something fantasy or sci fi related. My Dad would be ecstatic if we did a theme though. Anyway, we are doing a Scottish Wedding. That's still a bit of a theme--tartan and kilts everywhere, but it's socially acceptable for all faiths (Moms are Catholic) so everyone is happy. We are just doing something simple and small but still elegant. We are planning on having a party in Scotland after the wedding and before we move so that way everyone on that side can come and celebrate with us.

Yeah . . . Mich emailed me earlier this year and we kinda picked up right where we left off and found we were perfect for each other. Took Mich leaving Texas to realize I really am perfect for him. I mean . . . I'm an actual, live, beautiful woman who wants to marry him. How could he say no?

:p
2 outta three ain't bad!
