I think doing custom colours is a great idea. Making your army "unique" with a unique colour + shade and highlight would probably be a selling argument for most painters. and then getting a larger volume of that same paint.. again fantastic. You don't risk painting varying between batches which is an acute problem in army painting.

It's nice to think that someone is ready to have a dabble in the market, and you sound pretty keen and gen'd up. I'd question the need for bespoke paints, but as an idea I'd say good luck and keep us posted - there's nothing worse than a big-ideas merchant popping into the forums, kicking up a storm, then never being seen again .
