Notice something on the top ten...?

All the models are very large. They\'re either 54mm scale or they\'re large models like GW Greater Daemons. Models that are 30mm high simply don\'t have a chance. You can\'t cram in the same level of blending in that smaller space. But that doesn\'t mean they\'re painted worse!

Wanted to point this out, maybe get someone in power thinking about it. Maybe? Does it really matter? At all? Anyaway, perhaps a separate top-10 list for models that are no taller than 35mm?
For example, users could be asked to enter whether their model is <= 35mm tall when they post it, and that would decide which group it goes into. To prevent lying, a mod could simply look over the models in teh top 10 (it\'d be an interesting challenge for cheaters to make their 54mm models look like 35mm! :p).

This should be moved to wish lists I think.

I agree that it would be a nice feature if you could look only at top 10 x-scale minis, or top 10 terrain, etc. If you could break down the top 10 into categories it would be nice, and I think scale ranges would make good categories.
Industry standard seems to be roughly 30mm tall, then jumps to 54mm, with little if anything inbetween so it wouldn\'t be hard to say \"under 40mm\" and \"over 40mm\" or even 0-15mm, 16-40mm, 41-60mm, 60mm+.

I have noticed that many of \"top\" minis are usually 54mm. People probably find it easier to get better details on a larger model.

Personally, I\'ve tried working on one 54mm and I didn\'t care for it. Maybe it\'s because everything I\'ve done so far has been 25 - 30mm and it\'s just what I\'m used to.

Maybe there should be different catagories, but I\'ve seen smaller minis that were done just as well as, if not better than, some of the 54mm.

I\'m not familiar with GD, but do they have different catagories for the different sizes? And when it comes to the Slayer Sword (which I understand goes to the best in show - please correct me if I\'m wrong), are there different catagories for the different sizes?

I have always found 54mm models a lot more difficult to paint than 32/28mm. Eben just the logistics of holding the model, up to the fact that you really need to know wet blending for most of them.

I also want a scale setting. I have asked in the suggestion forum, and this guy asked recently too

Hopefully if enough people want it, it might have a chance of being implemented.

No. The Top Ten Most Recent are voted on by everyone.
Please remember that this site is COOLMINIORNOT.
Scale isn\'t really important here as there are 15mm figures posted up as well as 1/6 (or so) busts.

On the top list at the moment, 8 out of 20 are man-size 30mm scale minis. 5 of these are in the top 10. Can\'t see much of an inequality there myself ???
