After around 7 layers on the armour, it\'s getting near to what I want.

BTW this is from the batch of commission pieces i\'m doing.

Would have had more done, but th ebloody paint kept drying to quickly.

Got me some VMC paint retarder today, so this should stop that :)

Right Filagree is now complete.

So far I have only used 3 colours on this.
Trying to keep a limited pallete so everything seems more natural.

Filagree was painted with

VMC US Field Drab
VMC Ivory

The paint retarder is really helping to keep the paint workable

Right this is the last picture I will be posting of this guy for a while.
I will be basing it when all the commission pieces are finished.

I did the blades quite dark, as said before these are ancient war machines
and wanted to make the weapons look old, without being rusty.

Anyway on to the next part.

I don\'t mean to be a bother, but do you have the GW equivalents of the Robe, and Blad ecolours? Thanks a lot.

Sorry I dont have a direct colour comparison.

I would guess at

Sash

VMC Buff = Bubonic Brown
VMC Flat Brown = Bestial Brown
VMC Ivory = Bleached Bone+White

VMC Basalt Grey=Codex Grey+Black 80/20
VMC German Grey=Codex Grey+Black 50/50
VMC Flat Aluminium=Ghostly Grey
