As far as I am concerned \'merican football is the only football.

Try telling that to the billions who\'ll be watching the World Cup this summer!

Now there\'s a proper world championship!

Umm okay. From 1 of the Billion NFL fans to 1 of the Billlion Soccer fans, The World cup has nothing on the Super Bowl! :D lol

ok, I am a big NFL fan, but I have to admit, if given the choice between attending the super-bowl, and just about ANY game past the group stage in the World Cup, I\'d probably take the World Cup. The energy, tention, excitement in this tournament is so much higher than anything else out there.

hate to break this to you drake, but american football has a fan base of a few million, as the US is really the only country that gives a damn about the super bowl. So if every citizen of the US was a fan it wouldnt even have 300 million of em.

now soccer on the other hand, is the biggest sport in the world, as it is the sport of choice in central and south america, europe, africa, and most of asia. your looking at a few BILLION for a fan base there.

but dont worry, you could be canadian. hockey, WTF?

TEMPTATIONS!

I\'ve kept my promise and not watched a single Seahawks game this year.

Every time I watch...they lose!

My dad\'s ecstatic, I\'m happy for them, it\'s good to see them going, win or lose.

GO SEAHAWKS!

:D Hockey\'s real problem is that it\'s really only worth watching live. It really jsut doesn\'t translate well to TV. I LOVE watching live hockey, but am really blase about watching it on TV.

Now, if you REALLY want to pick on Canadians... Curling????

[EDIT] Man! I really said really a real lot, didn\'t I.

yeah, thumbs down to any sport involving a broom used in any way other than for fans to signify a series sweep

My feelings are similar about hockey, just so much better live, you just don\'t get the same feeling of the speed and just sheer kenetic energy going on in the rink from TV. Although I do watch it on TV all the time :D

You ain\'t breaking nothing to me Bogulous. I know that America, parts of Canada and parts of Mexico are really the only parts of the world that loves Pro Football. Thats why it was said tounge in cheek, hence the smilies :D. I also know that next to hockey, soccer is the most borring sport to watch. I have been to hockey games and I played soccer. I would rather watch Tennis.

GO SEAHAWKS!

Ok... The Pool is open.
Which city will riot first?
The one with the winning team, or the one with the losing team?

Bets will be taken for which city, and in increments of 5 minutes after the completion of the game.
By the rules of this pool, it is not an \'official riot\' until it is declared such by the news.

actually

I was rather disappointed by both championship games.

I don\'t think the panthers deserved to be there, nor Denver. They just seemed to get smeared all over the field by our, now 2, super bowl teams.

it made for 2 very uninteresting games, I can only hope to say that the super bowl is EVER so much more interesting than the 2 on Sunday were.

The Panthers played a sorry game- but Pittsburgh has certainly elevated it\'s game to a new level. Go Steelers!!!

That\'s odd Becca. I loved both games. Because I am a Seattle fan and we played in the same divison as Denver for 25 years I was pleased to se them get their ass kicked.

I vote for \"neither one\". The Super BOwl is being held in Detroit. Now, there\'s a city that knows how to hold a proper riot ;) Therefore, my bet goes for the Host City to beat out either the Winning or Losing City :flip:
