Without doubt the sculptor has shown extreme skill, but there are a couple of things that spoil it for me:
No true point of focus, it\'s that complex that there is nowhere to really concentrate on.
It\'ll be a nightmare to paint effectivley and with the above mention issue there is a serious chance of the painting getting overshadowed by the amount of detail and form.

highly skillfull work but it\'s all gone a bit mad.
will be interesting to see how painting goes I pretty much agree with DR some really really cool elements though..

I think I agree. While it is superbly sculpted, it looks as though the Chaos Gods have \"blessed\" it too much, it\'s more like a huge chaos spawn now, not so much a dragon.

over time though

that is what happens...

champions become so mutated that you can\'t see any sense of humanity, etc.

in the end, everything would probably be like a spawn :)

I\'d like to use something like that as a creature from the Far Realm in D&D.

It\'s almost too dragony to be fully chaotic :D

I reckon a decent paint job using colour to focus the eye would make that look stunning.

Wouldn\'t fancy painting it myself though...

Hm, I\'ve seen the WIP thread for that somewhere. Can\'t remember where, maybe the WotC boards.

I concur with the other thoughts on it being a little too unfocused. One very large spawn. The individual bits (head, lamprey mouth, etc) are all excellent, but the overall presentation is where it looses focus.

Thought id attract some attention away from that Dragon...its got waaay too much going on...looks like some bizare thorn bush.

Don\'t like it at all..I think its a mess. There is just to much going on. As a designor, theres a point where there is just to much of a good thing and in the case of this miniature it was about 250 hours ago. For something to be good, it needs a focal point. A point that draws your eye to it in the beginning and allows you then to work outwards. One this piece there is no one point that grabs one attention.. its more like a headache.

The Orc is sweet but HUGE. Bet he could sell it nicely to WoW. As to the chaos dragon, really nicely detailed but way too busy. Nothign to focus on.

My first thought is exactly what Dragon Forge said, its just too busy. very nicely sculpted but its just too much.
