Dunno about that, mate. Not particularly impressed with it. Seems less ... beefy than some of the scratch-builds that I\'ve seen. It\'s less menacing, and is somewhat static. The faces in the cables, though, now, that is a nice touch.

Hmmmn Seems to me that it\'s the paintjob making the model there, rather than enhancing it

I have no doubt that a good painter could make a match for the quality of painting on the existing Kit. (or what passes(d) for a kit).

tbh for me it loses the \"blood for the blood god!!!\" element without a mean head straing with demonic eyes, makes it look alive you, you know. that coupled with its pose makes it look like a gun emplacement not a scuttling demon tank. all in all, not demonic scorpiony enough for me

I like it to an extent but can\'t help think every time I see it of the scorpion thingy at the start of the Transformers movie that they have ripped off...

I agree that it´s sleek and almost looks like it would fit in with dark eldars.

I also looked at it and thought - \"That´s not chaos!?\"

BUT when I looked at it again I thought \"it´s great\"! - everything Khorne doesn´t have to be muscle-bound grotesques running around with huge axes and demonic faces screaming at the top of their lungs. I actually like the design with a bit more mechanized/animalistic/primitive effecient killing machine thrown in. It seems even more scary and foreign than the usual chaotic designs.

I think the product description sums it up pretty well:

The Brass Scorpion is a terrifying daemonic engine of destruction dedicated to the Chaos God Khorne, Lord of Slaughter. This nightmarish construct, as much hell-spawned beast as war machine, it storms across the battlefield like a monstrous predator hunting and killing. Its huge claws are capable of shredding armour with ease and its firepower laying waste to swathes of enemy infantry. Even in destruction the foes of Chaos have learned to fear this unholy war machine, as its infernally-charged reactor erupts to scorch the battlefield with the fury of its death-throws.

i think ive nailed why it doesnt do it for me. i dont think its \"barbaric\" enough to fit the back story of what it is. its too even, smooth and not out landish enough

I love it, its big, bold and looks awsome. Yes i can also see the dark eldar look in it, but thats just a conversion waiting to happen really, massive Talos anyone?

i can see some amazing freehand work being done on the plates as well, looking forward to that :)

Although I respect the sculpt I think that the ones converted from the defiler sprue look alot better, plus more original.

I think it is as cool as hell.

I just don\'t really get into the 40K imagery.

I REALLY wish there was a company that put out this high quality of stuff, but was more generic in the approach to Sci-Fi stuff.

Understandedly, Forgeworld only does GW thingies, but there has to be a market for folks that just want Sci-Fi spaceships not attached to some fluff.

Get behind it and it is toast. Talk about a lack of protection in the rear....

Needs some belly armor - especially up that back of that tail..
