some of you may remember me some of you may not... most of you however are unaware that about a year and a half ago i moved out to BC from ontario to start working for a company called northern thunderbird as a mechanic. unfortunatly the other day (thursday) one of our machines crashed at vancouver airportit us unclear as of the cause of the incident however the pilot has unfortunatly died of his injuries and the co-pilot has been put into an enduced coma and has burns on 80% of his body... the rest (7 people) are in stable condition one of which is in critical but stable condition. as bad as it sounds since it is a vancouver based machine and vancouver based pilots (i work at prince george base) and hence do not know the pilots all that well (not at all really) it makes coping with the situation much easier however i still find the situation difficult as i do not wish for any one to experience such a thing and it is within the company i am working for... i do not normally ask for such a thing but for those people of faith if you could please keep the victoms in your thoughts and prayers what ever god you may belive in. and for those of you not of faith if you could simply find it in your hearts to keep these people in your thoughts.. i perosnaly dont know if it will help or not but feel it's worth a shot. i would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart and would also like to thank you all on behalf of every one involved.

attached is a link to a news article about the situation http://ca.news.yahoo.com/small-plane-crashes-approach-outside-vancouvers-airport-235604077.html

Commiserations, terrible thing that could have been much worse except for the actions of the crew.

Heartfelt thoughts.
Never an easy situations when you lose colleagues in any way, whether you know them well or not.
