The majority of us seem to be dragging on this months work...

..that, or there is just a shortage of want to post about it

:)

Alot of stuff has landed in my lap, that I would rather do. But maybe things will change this weekend, since I am entering a painting comp in my local GW in november, so might do the new Tau Ghostkeel suit.

Hi guys, it]s me again. I managed to get some time painting while my wife was watching telenovelas. Even got the time to make a photo. So far model is about 40% finished. The coat is still missing the final highlight of weather effect. After that I]ll add some more colour with glazes, as you can see on the pockets. I have to sharpen the smiley face on the button too (miliput modification). Still to go is her head and the head of the deamon. These two bits will be the most diffulct I guess.

I also did work on the base, but I will not show a photo. It will be a surprise.

looks like you'll be my only opponent in the contest IF you finish WM :)
looks like everyone has thrown in the towel already (and we still have 2-3 weeks to go)

Hehe if only you could sell/buy time......
Just think about the ones who roll in last with the pictures but walk away winning

*these are the only contests where the taking part is the main thing. The winning is just a bench level we measure to :D

managed to get some of the blue for my skin-tone applied last night. Will try to do more after work, and get a new pic up this weekend.

hrmm,.. put in a bit of time today, but I'm not sure that the blue flesh I'm trying is coming out right. I might need to go back to a regular flesh tone. Need to make a quick decision, since I'm running out of days.

Just 11 days left!!!

I've decided to go back to a regular flesh tone. And it's already looking better. If I can work it a bit each night, I may have it done by this weekend.

I've had to get a replacement model as I can't find where I've put Alucard :( (somewhere that safe I can't find him) so I'll be going for a soda pop mini and be starting her next week.

Jike: I like that coat a lot... dirty somewhat greasy... and that acid face badge is great!! I am intrigued of what you are preparing for the base!

These are my advancements so far (I shared them at my WIP, but got out of time to put them here):

What MAXXxxx said. :) But so far your model looks great and it seems you are smoothly on your way to another great paintjob. Do you plan to add any water effects to the base? As it seems there is a small stream at the miniatures feet!?

So you started a WIP Maenas? Have to join there in. :) I think mine is rotting away somewhere in the basement of the forum. Hehehe

Well the base I planned will not include too much work from my side. Its something I bought many years ago, because I was so intruiged by the look of it. Now its fitting perfectly to the garage kit I paint. Good that I keep some things around for unknown reasons. Timelines connecting here. hehe. My wife is not so glad with that habbit. :)

P.S: Nice idea to paint the tops of the scalecolors....I think I will copy that. Is the red colours set worth getting it? I got the green one and its okay.

Alright, starting later than I had hoped, but let's get this party started. I'm starting to think that the cast has gotten fairly out of alignment, as I'm still trying to get everything to match up. Using hairdryer and boiling water to bend some of the larger pieces.

More tomorrow~

Oh kablaq, that cape will be nice for sure ;)

@Maxxx: Oh yes you are right, the hair has only the base colour, I haven't worked on it still, and the skin has pretty the same problem I did just AB with three or four tones, but as the pic is a bit overexposed it does not show. Anyway I nedd to work on the skin with the brush so I better hurry up xD

@Jike: Oh thanks Jike! Yup I was planning to paint the base and then add water effects to enhance it, but not much just wanted to keep it simple. Adding bamboo and a bigger rock to accompany it was also planned, but I am not sure If I will have time enough. And yes, I started a WIP at the same time I started to paint this mini, because it was a pending thing in my to do list for this year ^^
On the scalecolour tops, I took the idea from the web and I thought it was pretty useful. On the "reds set" I must confess now that I just bought all the scale 75 range within 2-3 months and set by set, but I cannot compare it to anything else since these are the range of paints I took when I couldn't found my old (used when teenager) brand "Miniature paints", and I took them because I went hiper-hyped with their "silvery" metallics lol

Working on getting everything pinned. Have the pins in for the main body to the base, as well as the arms. Hands are giving me issues, as they seem to be larger than the hole they're supposed to go into -_-. Also have pins in on the lower two sections of the cloak, need to get the tops pinned and aligned properly.

@Cannonfodder: If you enter a photo wearing your finished armor/costume we could vote on that too!? :)

No worries Webmonkey, I´m way behind my plan of painting too. I hope I can finish it in time, I don´t want to rush it...
