joining so that I can push myself to actually finish one of the gk's I've purchased...

currently debating between doing one of these two, since I have them:

http://www.e2046.com/product/Seras+Victoria/3894/

oh, and a somewhat hilarious size comparison, 1/8 scale Alucard on the left, 1/7 scale Seras on the right:

I've chosen this model, she is a Ninja girl and with that mask in the scene, it looks like she just sliced up a naughty trick or treater. So halloweenish? Anyway Had a few questions, this will be my first of this kind of model, I've never painted a PVC resin figure before, was wondering what kind of glue to use? I'm thinking Crazy glue? And do these need to be Primed or can you get away with unprimed?

Any tips and tricks would be most appreciated.

Any glue will work, but I always recommend loctite gel superglue,.. its great stuff. And yes, priming is a good thing. In fact, prime the pieces then inspect under a bright light,.. this should make any flaws/imperfections show up. (Pitts, gaps, mould lines, etc,...) sand, fill in, otherwise fix the issues, then reprime and recheck. Take the time to dry-fit everything,.. I guess my best advice is DO NOT SKIP ON THE PREPWORK!!! If you don't solve these issues up front, they WILL show up in your final product. I also recommend painting seperately and assembling later when/where possible.

So I wanted to use this as an excuse to finish Lucchini, but as you can see she's already mostly done. In the spirit of GK, I didn't want to lean on my extensive collection of KD, Soda Pop, Inifinity, et al.

That left me with this girl (ignore the golem, he'd be too much to get done in the time frame too). She has a base skin tone, but that's kinda like just primer, right?

Then, as I was digging for the golem (for the photo), I found her. I had completely forgotten about her.

What do you think? Door 2 or door 3?

whichever you want really, I think both are ok.
As a matter of fact even though Lucchini is already started, but a lot can be done with that one before you could say it's finished (unless you aim for the prepainted factory level of basecoat + 1 or 2 airbrushed shade)

I am getting something in the mail either today or tomorrow, that would be fitting for the theme, though I am not sure it would be of interest to any to see.

So i have decided on doing a TAG from Infinity, just need to narrow it down to which one :(

Its ok to be a little scared your first time,.. but don't worry, we'll be gentle, and you might even enjoy it,.... wait,... are we still talking about anime kits??

You gonna copy the colors from the box? Or do your own thing with it?

I am more scared now xD xD
I think I'm gonna go for a more serious look, brown or red hair and obviously not a pink armour xP will probably maintain the idea of the cherry blossoms but I won't use the decals.

and again I chose something simple with like 7 or 8 parts. No headaches for me :D
Lucky you Maxxx! I did not knew this was going to have 48 parts ^^' I was aiming for 20 at the most.

But hey, a challenge is a challenge! I better start preparing all of this or I won't end in time.

only 36 + decals according to the pic on e2046 :)

Still, good luck with this challenge. Hopefully some parts can be assembled before painting to make the post-painting assembly easier.
I have a few kits, that I don't even open because of the part number (too high).
