Odin the all father

greetings again I have spoke to a sculptor Jim Johnson..you may remember his work thru ral partha and his amazing dragons through reaper to do Odin..now if I can get the concept artist I want..jeff dee from Deities and Demigods((for you old school people..tsr days)) interested we are all set.

It sounds like a real good peice, but will he be true to the legends? E.i: lost one eye, have two ravens, and have a true viking helmet and not one of those stupid horned ones they\'re always shown in... The artist may have to go back and read all the myths again, just to be sure, because even I\'ve forgot what he is supposed to look like.

yep imagine him with a winged helmet..((only horns are for drinking ))..lots of furs..wrapped leggings..big girdle..his mighty large bladed spear..large beard with possible braids..and one eye..both ravens..a mounted version may be to follow on the horse.glad you

Odin...
Odin had a spear named Grungir which never missed its mark and a bow which unleashed ten arrows with every pull. He also owned a magic ring called Draupnir which created nine of itself every night. It was this ring that Odin laid on his son Balder\'s funeral pyre and which Balder returned to Odin from the underworld. Another one of Odin\'s prized possesions was his wonderful steed named Sleipnir which had eight legs.

I would like to do it on the horse but most likely he will be on foot with his 2 ravens((Hugin and Munin)) ..the sculptor says we can use the torso for a conversion if we like ...sleipner would be awesome tho I agree..draupnir is the rings name..and Gungnir the massive spear..I think the popularity of this mini would be very good but always nice to get feeback from our prospective buying public.
