\'Official\' color schemes for certain GW lines ...

Yeah, yeah .. I know, paint them however you want and all that, take creative license ... blah, blah, blah.

Me, I want to know what some of the \'official\' colors are, such as the Inquisition and all that good stuff.

Here is the catch though, I really don\'t want to have to put out for a Codex of Daemonhunters or Witch Hunters just to get 10 color pages worth of orders in the back.

I know, want in one hand, shat in the other, but still ... I don\'t play the games but I do want the \'colors\'. Is there any place online that has these up (the various orders, cults, whatever)?

(looking around furuitively) .... or (head swishing back and forth) .... erm ... scan them and post a pretty picture for me? :eek:

The reason I ask is that I\'ve just bought all the inquisition, witch hunter, sisters of battle and whatnot that I could get my hands on (wife isn\'t happy to see boxes of miniatures trickling in ... \'is that another box?\" .... \'why no hun ... same one ... nothing new ...\') and I want to paint up the official Inquisition colors as well as one of the Order colors for the SoB\'s.

Any help would be appreciated.

There was a white dwarf article at some point, you could also check out the GW website... There are only 6 published schemes for the SOB, based around black, white, red and metal, Grey knioghts are a blued steel colour. The Inquisition is generally schemed black, red, white and [on witchhunters] brown. Some gold and brass is sometimes in there too.

I doubt anyone is going to scan and post part of the books for you, this is a well known site and GW really would react to that kind of thing

Seriously though, thank you for the colors, more or less. Is there a white dwarf in particular that might have been done some time in the past with these colors in them (a themed magazine perahaps?)? If so, I might be able to gaff some off ebay for a good price.

Baaah ... I got a feeling I\'m going to be buying the codexs.

While I\'m at it, what is the difference between Witch Hunters and Daemon Hunters? I thought they more or less were the same thing?

Fluff or Rules?

Basically it comes down to areas of influence/responsibility and the chambers militant [Grey Knights for Ordo Mallius and SOB for Ordo Hereticus.] There are differences in the types of wargear and henchmen they can take, this is to reflect their different roles.

I give up, I\'m just gonna have to buy the Codex\'s I see. :eek:

I\'m interested in the background history (love reading about that stuff) and the color schemes that denote what order they are and so forth but I don\'t ever see myself playing the game thus I\'m trying to avoid putting too much out for books.

I\'m going to take some of these background questions over to the other forum so I don\'t aggrivate the others.

I have both Codex Deamonhunters and the original SOB codex as well as the Imperial Armour Vol 2 which covers vehicles for the inquisition as well as every White Dwarf ever printed and would be happy to look up any information and scan and send anything you require. It may take a little while to figure out how to do this though.
